I guess I just remember when you could get a whole breakfast for around $6. I ordered two full breakfasts, one for me and one for my mother and it was like $22. That is just crazy.
The hominy grits are not my kind of hominy grits. We like milk, sugar, and butter. So therefore these were extremely bitter and nasty and it took a ton of sugar and butter without milk since I was in the street to get them to taste halfway right.
We were the last customers of the day and you would have thought with all of that meat piled up high in the pans they would have given us some thicker scrapple instead of those tiny thin slices. Even another slice of bacon at the end of the day would have been better at that price.
I had not been there in years, and I probably will not be going back anytime soon because it is just too much money for too little...
Read moreMy friend took me to this place for the pancakes and it did not disappoint. A total gem off the beaten path. We drove up and walked in and were immediately helped by a nice woman. She and a man handle the front, taking phone orders, walk ups, and handing out food. Another two people are working the griddles and sandwich station and it was awesome to watch. They no longer have dine in so you have to take out. The prices are dirt cheap and the food is solid. The pancakes were indeed fluffy and delicious. I did not like the potatoes (tasted like they were cooked with maple syrup??) But you can tell the community supports them and I hope this place...

The food is still awesome and the customer service is spot on quick, friendly and efficient, but you can't get that same feeling you use to get where it was a sit in diner and you could talk meet people and relax. There's nothing wrong with the food ,it's just changed I'd continue to recommend this place to anyone. It's just the environment has changed there behind lax guard and a steel cage and you have to grab your food and go.
