This is the worst bar I've ever been to. We sat down on a quiet Tuesday night and it took over ten minutes before the bartender acknowledged us being there. She then brought us menus and mumbled unenthusiastically what the specials were.
After ordering drinks, it took 15 more minutes to get them. We ordered two small tacos that never came out either. This was over the course of almost 50 minutes. It took several friends 20 minutes just to get a glass of water.
I'm not sure how this place has been so raved about because even after attending the diviest of bars, this is by far the worst.
Edit:
In response to the owner saying that there were no less than 20 people there, that is 100% false. We arrived when there were only 8 people sitting at the bar and nobody else entered for 15 minutes after we were sitting.
I've been to "intimate" college bars where one bartender handles 20+ people easily. This bartender was moody, locked people out of the bar, and incredibly slow at serving drinks. It shouldn't take over 20 minutes to give somebody water.
Edit 2:
So I saw the owner respond to my friend that I was also with and he has no idea what he's talking about. We were laughing and having a good time with each other and our other friends that showed up about 10 or 15 minutes after us. He likely doesn't know what we looked like but we were incredibly nice to the staff and only interacted with two people working there.
The owner only popped out for a few minutes before we left so I have no idea how he was able to determine that we had "horrible attitudes". Ordering at the bar is no big deal at all. It would have been nice to know beforehand but a "hey, you guys can order here at the bar!" makes a pretty simple difference.
Again, we arrived with about 8 people sitting at the bar and it was dead. The service was inexcusably slow. There's no reason for others to wait 20 minutes on a glass of water, nor 45 minutes for 2 tacos.
Our biggest issues were the bartender having a bad attitude, she literally locked the door (you can hear the owner say she didn't but my friend let at least ten others through the door after us because she ended up locking it), and the fact that everything was incredibly slow before the bar was even remotely busy.
The owner can try to have his power trip all he wants and throw petty "insults" but the bottom line is that the service was terrible on the night we went. He can't pick myself nor my friend out of a crowd so don't believe his fabrications. This establishment will get business no matter what because of Magooby's next door but I'd only order from there if you absolutely need something while...
Read moreTo me Wits End is a fantastic little bar to enjoy my night after a long afternoon working. They have a Wide selection of Bourbons and drinks and some exceptional food for such a small joint. This review comes from visiting a dozen or so times, all with great service and overall satisfaction. To really dive into Wits End you first have to look at its size. A small little bar built into the side of a comedy club. Its rustic and premiers an atmosphere of times passed with posters and memorabilia of great artists and comedians. It's the perfect place to wind down after a show, or so I would assume! This review comes from someone who has never stepped foot into the attached comedy club. I enjoy Wits End to the fullest without its other business, but I've been around to see a crowd jumping into the bar from the club and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves alongside me. Every staff member I've had the pleasure of meeting has been great, even if they tend to move on to other places fairly quickly. Clearly the owner knows who to hire for each position, even if they don't stay for too long. A professional chef on his way to the top, a security guard turned dream chef, a navy officer turned family man and top bartender, or med student looking to make it big while pouring great drinks. All those I've had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with and so many interesting view points and topics, the more I come the more I learn and enjoy myself with all the workers and customers. With the great workers out of the way, you can expect their creations to be just as good! I will say, they may not get it perfect the first time, but many there are open to listening and fixing problems for the next time around, and boy do they deliver! Chefs make my burgers exactly how I like them and they remember me and my orders, and the bartenders quickly pick up what you like and make good suggestions if you want to try something new that's still in your comfort level. Outside of seeing a show, I still highly recommend Wits End Saloon, especially if you can get in when it's not too crowded. Many of the patrons are also great to talk to if your into swapping stories with strangers. Also probably a great place for a date if it's not too busy, I can see the location being very intimate with the right partner, even if it lacks super fancy food, but I'm not into that kinda stuff and this food is good enough to bring any respectable patron back. If I had to give it a downside it would be the size, it's just so tiny, but that's also what makes it so cozy when it's not...

Sorry for the long Review..
My husband, young children, and I went to Repticon down the street and after, the girls were asking specifically for chicken nuggets and French fries. I said I guess it’s a McDonald’s day… my husband groaned so I said I would search for something near us specifically with chicken nuggets and French fries. I came across Wits End and it had good reviews so we decided to go there and one of the first items listed was tenders and fries.. perfect. I had a hard time finding the place when driving (it’s in Magooby’s Joke House) but when we found it we decided to sit outside since it was nice out and the seats inside are all high top. We ordered our food- me, the Mahi tacos, the girls ended up having brunch- eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns, toast and jam, And my husband had a panini. I was really hyping the food up the whole time lol the French fries were amazing, the Mahi was delicious, and the girls were pounding down the eggs like they were crack (my husband can confirm they were delicious same with the hashbrowns they had a good Smokey taste. Anyways, so I’m still raving about this place and we get the Apple Cinnamon cheesecake and OMG incredible. These workers probably thought I had a problem because I’m just raving about this food and told the chef his food was amazing. I love food… obviously.
Our waitress received a call from her manager, came out to our table, and said our manager wants to comp your meal…. And we were like in shock.. what us? Is he sure? Well he had a camera outside and I guess he checked it and saw us there and saw the toddlers losing their minds running around the table (it was not crowded thankfully) and scrubbing the windows with our baby wipes since the girls had greasy fingers and had a tough time listening 🙄. We are walking chaos so we were shocked. He told her to tell us he appreciates our business and wanted to treat us….
Just so wholesome and so nice. We have never had that happen and our bill wasn’t cheap.
The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious 10/10 recommend supporting this business.
MAKE SURE YOU GET THE FRENCH FRIES AND THE APPLE CINNAMON CHEESECAKE 🤌🏻
We will be going back to try their burgers because it’s in almost every review on Google. Apparently they...
