Joe’s Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Mascoutah

I've given this place a second chance, and tonights experience was even worse. We had a 6 year old with us, who was given an adult menu and an adult cup, filled to the very top. When I asked if she could dump out some so he didn't spill, she did but no offer for a cup with a lid. We waited 40 minutes for salad and appetizer to come out. Salads came out, and while I ordered a Caesar salad, I got a house salad (complete with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and olives) with Caesar dressing. Our server asked if something was wrong, we explained and she took it back...and returned with the same salad and said "my manager said that is a Caesar salad" Our entrees came out immediately after salads. Including the appetizer the 6 year old ordered, which is on the kids menu, but we didn't receive one, nor did the server ask if we wanted a kids meal for him. She did ask if he wanted a small, medium or large though. The Alfredo literally tastes like watered down milk. No flavor whatsoever. The manager walked past, wearing what looked like pajamas, but never interacted with a single table. Save yourself the trouble and choose another establishment. We won't be back. A year or more ago, we frequented this restaurant because the service was excellent. I don't know what happened to go from one extreme to the other in terms of employees, but the owners may want to call the original crew, and beg them...

We were finally able to go in and try Joe's Pizza! It's so exciting to have another great choice for eating out in Mascoutah! We had a medium 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni pizza, chicken alfredo, chicken parmesean, and an Italian beef sandwich. I forgot to take pictures of the salads, but they were great, too! I loved that they had both black and green olives in their salad. It was a twist I hadn't seen before! The parmesean chicken was piping hot 🔥 and had great flavor... the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. Not everyone likes that, but I loved it and would certainly order it again! My husband loved his italian beef sandwich, and it was enough to fill him up, which rarely happens with sandwiches. The chicken alfredo was so pretty to look at! The alfedo sauce is very mild. As a family that loves garlic, we expected a little more flavor, but that didn't stop us from eating enough to leave quite full! We'll probably just ask for extra sauce next time. Their breadsticks are amazing and probably my all-time favorite! The kids loved the pizza! Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were all wonderful and very deserving of...

We have tried dining in three times now, and I'm officially calling it quits. The first time, we waited at least 20 minutes after our pizza arrived for the pasta to come out. The second time, my pasta was cold. Tonight (6/27), thinking maybe the pasta was the problem, we tried to dine in at 7 pm to order pizza. We were greeted when we walked in and were told to sit anywhere. There were a handful of tables. We sat and watched the two servers walk back and forth while glancing at or ignoring us, watched them fiddle with their jewelry, and just chat up at the server station with the busser. At one point, Server A asked if Server B had taken us, and Server B glanced at us and said that she hadn't, but she could. Server B then proceeded to go to another table to do something with drinks. At this point, we had already been sitting there for 10 minutes without being helped. Are there managers actually working or are the teenagers running this place? The food is good and takeout hasn't failed us, but I won't beg for dine-in service so I can then have an awkward experience and give you my money at the end. We...
