I really wanted to love this, especially after seeing how fun and lively the place was! The food was awful for the price. The lobster mad and cheese that cost $29 was pretty much craft Mac and cheese with some pieces of lobster and covered in a vast amount of ritz crackers 😭😳 couldn’t even eat it cause it tasted like crackers and nothing else, so I just fished the lobster out. The small seafood platter that cost a whopping $40 and came with TWO scallops and TWO shrimp. The rest was clams, fries and some sort of fish. This is what I got for $73 🤬 huge waste of money. This was my last night too and I REALLY wanted some delicious seafood since this is cape cod. Guess it wasn’t meant to be

Worst experience of my life at any restaurant, not just on cape cod. Watched the staff hand deliver food to the tables located in the raw bar numerous times. When I went to order I was told they don’t do that. Even though I continued to watch staff do that after I was told no. Okay I get it maybe they know someone??? Ordered a to go order online, paid online…. Great! 7pm should be ready by 7:30/7:45…. Nope! 9:08pm. So I walked over to ask why so long?? As expected an entitled teenager let’s me know she’s doing me a favor ALLOWING this order to even be placed. Of course I’m a pushover (as my wife informed me) Okay no problem, I’m a local I’ll wander around with my family and support local businesses. Emma’s Sugar Shack…… AMAZING! The little mini golf place, even though getting run down a bit and bit pricey, AWESOME! The ice cream shop, super cute and my daughters love it. As usual my wife and I watch daughters play mini golf listening to some spoiled mom teach her child how to get what she wants by having her skip the ice cream line, walk directly to front and explain how she dropped her ice cream cone and could she get a new one. By the way she DID NOT drop her ice cream cone. Mom was just teaching her daughter a lesson on how to get what you want…. Great teaching another person how to be entitled! But don’t worry she said to drop $5 in the tip jar…. Any way back to me 2+ hours waiting on….. filet mignon? NOPE…. Lobster??? NOPE….. Truffle Fries, Parmesan Truffle Wings and Onion Rings…. At 9pm on the dot I check the app. You order has been canceled. So I stroll over to ask why??? The same girl responds…. We are out of fries, fry-o-later is off and we aren’t taking any more orders… SORRY! As I’m watching food still being brought out to waiting customers. Moral of my overly elaborate story…. As a cape cod local who has continuously tried to support local businesses, at times dealing with endless abuse from employees, entitled customers and prices that are just dumb. Im officially resigning my local status. I’m already treated like I’m from out of town so I will no longer feel bad NOT supporting local businesses. This will be my last experience being understanding and...

Yuck. This place is terrible. Classic over- priced, ultra low quality tourist trap. Zero pride or care put into the food. I’ll start with the absolutely ridiculous wait times that others have mentioned. By the time your food arrives you’ll have aged decades. Your kids will have become grown adults waiting for their Mac n cheese to arrive. Grandma will be mummified by the time her half dollar sized crab cakes are delivered to the table.

And all that waiting will have been for nothing. The 10 dollar kid’s mac n cheese is quite literally a 99 cent box of Kraft. It somehow took them over 30 minutes to microwave some low quality store bought mac (the manager straight up admitted it was microwaved). The wait staff are all teenagers. Are middle schoolers running the kitchen as well?

Everything was less than mediocre and you are charged a premium for it. The food comes out on paper plates with plastic forks. Imagine paying $45 dollars for a lobster roll and eating it out of the same thing you’d eat a 2 dollar boiled hot dog from a street vendor.

I’d avoid this place at all costs, it will cost a lot for you to eat here. Your money, your time, and...

As regulars every Summer, this place is a gem for us! The staff are wonderful, particularly the manager Kara Eaton, who goes above and beyond to please her customers. Sadly tonight, we witnessed an older man handling a situation where his vegetables came out cold, very unnecessarily aggressively. In these times, where restaurants and staff are going out of their way to make our dining experiences comfortable, safe and somewhat normal, attacking a hard working (and already stressed) member of staff for something as trivial as ‘less than warm vegetables,’ is a major first-world-probelm and the situation could have been handled with more compassion and less entitlement. We had a delicious meal and overall wonderful experience tonight, as usual. Thanks marketplace cafe and staff for your hard work & dedication!! We Love you guys! Your Irish friends, Mel...
