Peking Buffet — Restaurant in Mason

The only Chinese restaurant I’ll eat at. They know my mom, dad and daughter. Both my dad and I love dipping our shrimp in melted butter (weird probably) but my dad got me hooked on it. He has since passed away but every time my mom and I go eat there without asking the owner brings out a bowl of melted butter and knows exactly who I am when I walk in the door. The sweetest people ever! When the restaurant was sold we stopped going (due to seeing cockroaches and other issues) and when it was bought back by the current owners we immediately started going again. We love them! I always joke with my mom “I think we keep them in business” because we go so frequently and I make the drive from gallipolis to mason just to eat there lol. I've ordered takeout from here for many years. The meat in dishes has always been pretty low quality but the overall flavor of the sauces and gravies was very good. The past 6 months the pork and beef quality has been very bad. It's all fat and gristle. I also notice they have stopped putting egg in the fried rice. I'm not sure if there are scallions in their either. It's pretty bland. I probably won't eat here again. I throw more food away than I eat. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a vegetarian meal. It's just the meat that...

My mother ate here on Saturday and as a result spent the last week severely sick. As a result of food poisoning from this restaurant ( yes we are 100 percent sure it was this restaurant) my Mother spent 5 days (and counting) in the hospital. We will be reporting this restaurant to the Health Department. We have the paperwork in hand from the hospital to prove everything and will be pressing for this restaurant to be inspected and hopefully shutdown.
