The Stowaway — Restaurant in Mattapoisett

This is a new place . We were told by our server that had only been open a couple weeks. Man was it good. The menu has a ton of selections and there is something for everyone. I ah the clam chowdernwith a huge piece of cornbread. Chowder was full of clams and nice creamy. The cornbread was delicious and sweet. Almost cake like. My husband had the double patty burger and I had the French dip sandwich on the waitress's recommendation. Both were amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bacon was cooked so well it was buttery. The French dip sandwich was huge and full of beef. The au jus for dipping was almost drinkable. Our waitress was very atentive and there were no delays in getting our drinks or food timely.I was highly recommend this place. They are off to a wonderful start. Haven't been here in over a year. I was going regularly until I tried to play dice there one day while having a few beers and lunch.. The bartender (stephany?) I think her name was Refused to let me play because she didn't know me. Even though I had been putting money in the pot for months. She was so rude I'd never go back... funny thing I live in Mattapoisett full time all yr. As Covid subsides and your oozing for a place to go... avoid this place! Unless you like washed up rude...
