Sweet Scoops — Restaurant in Mattoon

This time was the first time we have been. We found a parking spot, which this seems lucky on a Sunday, as we wanted our first time to be able to go in and look around to see what they are about and have. They do have a drive through as well, btw. First impression is very good, small but good. The ladies behind the counter were very busy taking care of the customers esp in the drive through. Looks like a lot of ice cream options. I had the turtle ice cream and wife had some blueberry and amaretto mix cone. Both we loved, and would get again. The menu changes based on season and availability, but that just makes every visit and adventure--one you can never lose!

My favorite flavors are the blueberry waffle cone and cherry cheesecake. But the key lime pie & cinnamon double scoop combo is a sleeper hit that more people need to try!

First time here, had to come when we heard about this place. Nice that another business is there. It's been empty for a little while now. I got two scoops of ice cream in a dish, chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cup. Their ice cream is Cedar Crest from Wisconsin. Never heard of it but it sure tastes good.
