Hana Bowls and the wonderful owners deserve higher than 5 stars! I found this place based on the delicious photos from other reviews while we stayed out at JJ's Farm in Hana. My daughter and I stopped on our way to Waianapanapa State Park. The truck is adorable, as is the couple who own it. They were super friendly and so patient while we took forever to make our choices - even allayed my concerns about whether the spirulina powder would overpower the bowl (it wouldn't, they assured me!). I ended up going with the classic Hana bowl and my daughter got the Cacao bowl. The bowls are created beautifully and clearly lovingly. They seem to enjoy what they do. Both were absolutely delicious, packed with flavors and toppings (layered in there, too, not just all on top for the pictures!). We also got an iced coffee and an iced coconut latte (I think - it was my daughter's drink and it was on the specials menu but they were able to accommodate her lactose intolerance with almond/coconut milk at my request). Both were perfect.

We visited just the day before the fires broke out in Maui. I'm really hoping that they are able to sustain their business with the devastation on the other side of the island. If you do go to Hana, please make sure to visit them and...

If you’re headed out to the breathtaking town of Hana, do yourself a favor and stop at Hana Bowls—a small roadside trailer serving up hands-down the best açaí bowls and smoothies I’ve had anywhere on the island.

This spot is a gem, run by a super friendly and welcoming young couple who clearly put their heart into everything they do. They source their fresh fruit locally, and you can taste the difference in every bite and sip. Everything is vibrant, refreshing, and made with care.

After the long (but beautiful) 2+ hour drive from Kihei, Hana Bowls is exactly the kind of healthy, delicious treat you didn’t know you needed—but will absolutely crave again. Honestly, I’d say it’s worth the drive all by itself.

If you’re in the area—or planning to be—don’t miss this local treasure. You won’t regret it!

** Cell service is not good on that side of the island. Pin the location before you go. They are easy to find, turn off main road and head to the lava tubes, it’s about 100’ down...

Hana Bowls is simply amazing! From the awesome and friendly owners to the best Acai bowls we have ever had. This husband and wife team know what they're doing and you should definitely stop by any time you drive by on the Hana Highway (The Road to Hana). We stopped by Hana Bowls 2 times while we were in Hana. On the second stop, we ordered our bowls and coffee. I ended up having to go back for a second cold brew coffee before we pulled off so I could have one for the road. These are the things we ordered and they were amazing so I'm sure everything else is as well!
