Olowalu Juice Stand — Restaurant in Maui

We had passed by this juice stand every day for a while since it lies between west Maui and a lot of the other areas on the island and decided to give it a try. The owner after helping the people in front of us left to go do something for 10 minutes without saying a word leaving us standing there not knowing what to do. After what felt like an eternity he came back and we ordered two smoothies. It took an extremely long time to make our smoothies too because the owner decided to wash and rinse each blender he used thoroughly when he could have easily just handed us our smoothies and we could have paid before he started cleaning. In fact there was another family behind us but they left after waiting 20 minutes when even WE hadn’t been helped.

Then there were the smoothies themselves. If they were good quality, maybe the wait would’ve been worth. However, both smoothies were awful. The pineapple tasted like 90% water and the mango was mostly sour with little sweetness. Total disappointment coupled with absolutely horrendous...

Juice stand is NOT fresh. Highly misleading since this place sells fresh fruit. Honestly it's the cheapest smoothie I've had, poorly done and blended. But frozen fruit... seriously? I waited 40 minutes in line for this disappointment. I saw bags of store bought frozen mango chunks sticking out the trash can and saw no fresh fruit except oranges used on my "smoothie". He also didn't get my order right, it was just orange and tiny amount of passion fruit, none of the other 4 ingredients that comes standard on the "build your own smoothie"

They also advertise the Lava Flow smoothie being served in a pineapple, the guy said "NO". you can only get pineapple juice serviced in a pineapple.

Don't bother ordering juice or smoothie from here, you can buy your own store bought ingredients and make it...

We love this place ! The owners are super friendly & great customer service . They have a huge fruit stand as well as a juice truck . They make you fresh cane juice which is delicious as well fresh pineapple juice served inside a pineapple. You can also ask them to cut all the fresh fruit for you and for coconuts they cut it for you so you can drink the fresh coconut water and after you are done they slice the fruit for you so you can take it home . They have a lady there who is so skilled and fast in fruit cutting we call her the fruit Ninja 🥷. The kids loved seeing them cutting fruit then eating them there . They also have one of the best Banana and pineapple breads on the island .
