D'Landing Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Mayagüez

My family and i went to D Landing yesterday as we spent almost the whole evening at the beach. My kids were super hungry, and on our way home, we stopped at this restaurant to eat something. Our first time in this restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant our server Amanda cery friendly, came to take our our order. I ordered a salmon with cheese risotto, and my husband ordered a churrasco steak cooked medium well with a gnocchi and the kids the grilled chicken with rice and beans My salmon came with my husband side of gnocchi, and he got my risotto. That wasn't the issue. My husband gave me the fist bites of his churrasco steak, and it was like i was eating melted cheese. The steak was so soft and chewy, and i asked if it was really beef because it doesn't taste right. I called my server and told her about the sensation of the meat. She said i asked for med well, and i said yes, my issue wasn't the way it cooked, but the way it tasted and felt. She finally takes the food away. As i said, i would like to change for a salmon istead because i didn't trust the meat. And after 2 minutes one of the managers came wich was a a lady with blonde hair, shortly cut kind of big chop. with the same food telling me that is the way they cooked the meat and the churrasco usually tasted like that. And she returned the food back. I just said to pack the food cause, i have a dog, and i didn't wan t to make a scene. We paid the whole meal, including my husband's meal , and went home unhappy with very poor management. I don't recommend this place at all. And i will certainly not come back again. I'm very...

We visited D’Landing in Cabo Rojo to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary, drawn by its stunning location and reputation for fresh seafood. And yes—the food delivered. The lobster and snapper were beautifully prepared, and the flavors were truly memorable. But unfortunately, the ambiance and customer care fell far short of what such a setting and occasion deserved.

Despite the restaurant’s breathtaking views and potential for a serene dining experience, the atmosphere was disrupted by young children allowed to roam and use cell phones loudly, without headphones. The lack of staff intervention or any effort to maintain a respectful environment for other guests was deeply disappointing. It’s not about being anti-family—it’s about basic courtesy and creating a space where all patrons can enjoy their meals without disruption.

We came hoping for a romantic evening, but instead found ourselves competing with screen noise and misbehavior that made it impossible to relax or connect. For a place with such promise, this kind of oversight is unacceptable. D’Landing needs to do better in managing the dining experience—not just the plates, but the people. We wished that a manager would have come to speak with us; however their activities kept them from talking to us. BTW THE TABLE NEXT TO US WAS ALSO DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR ALLOWING DISTURBANCE.

The food was absolutely out of this world, and the drink portions were generous without being overly sweet. The prices were fantastic for the quality and quantity of food we received. The portion sizes were above average, and the presentation of both the food and drinks was superb—everything looked and tasted fantastic. I had to change the location for a wedding at the last minute, and the staff at D'Landing were incredibly accommodating and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly, and I am extremely grateful for their efforts. Their exceptional service deserved a generous tip, and I made sure to show my appreciation. My whole family loved the food, and my brother, who had already visited twice, highly recommended this place to me. As soon as I arrived, I knew I wanted to hold the small wedding reception here. The outdoor area was perfect, and I'll be attaching some pictures to this review to showcase how beautiful the setting was. Thank you, D'Landing, for making our special day even more memorable!
