RibCrib BBQ — Restaurant in McAlester

WORST RIB CRIB EVER! And i love Rb Crib and have supported them many yrs all over the US.. First off, we were sat at a dirty table/chairs. I had to clean my chair off to sit down. Second we waited a pretty long time for our food to show up, which is uncommon for a Rib Crib as everything is premade. And no it wasnt bc they were busy, there was maybe 15 people tops dining in. While waiting on our food i could hear other customers asking where their server was. Not to mention hearing the manager and servers in the back complaining about no fries. So iam still sitting there thinking to myself that the server will come back at some point and ask me to pick another side… Nope she never did! After about 30 mins of waiting and our waitress never coming back one time after placing our order, here comes our food.. my gf ordered the turkey which was good, potato salad was ok, mac/cheese looked to be 3 day old dry. I ordered the pulled pork which i get every time. I wouldnt have fed it to my dog. Was super salty and far from typical RC style. The mac was disgusting and this is where it get funny… after hearing them yelling about having no fries, i had a mixture of RC fries and some kind of crinkle cut fries on my plate, not to mention only about two pinches worth. We had quite the laugh bc it looked like they dumped someones leftover fast food fries on my plate soaked in grease. They looked so bad i wouldnt even try them. I wish i would have takin a picture but was so frustrated at the time, i wasnt even thinking of a picture. The manager did come out and wipe out the bill and tried to give us $30 worth of gift cards in addition.. we denied the gift cards and went on our way. Hopefully the owner does more than read these reviews and make worthless responses as i have seen in many of the reviews. Maybe you should spend some days in there yourself!! Service was the downer on this visit. In fairness they seemed to be short staffed. A server with red hair is the only reason this was not a 1-star. She stepped up and help cover our table and for that I tipped her separately. We waited 20 minutes for our server to take drink orders, 15 minutes before the drinks showed up. Another 20 before he took our food order. It did not get any better after the panicked look on his face when we said seperate checks. At least 2 if our orders had the sides. It was major and we were going to roll with it, but To more experienced servers stepped up and brought the correct sides. They also took our drink refills and brought them out. The food was ok not the level that I expect from Rib Crib. Chicken was dry, the other items were not as juicy as they should have been. When it came time to settle up our server came list track of where he was and did nit collect my payment. I was sitting there with my card out and he took care of everyone else and walked off. My 4 coworkers just about lost it. We sat there for another 20 minutes and he never came back.

Just had one of the worst BBQ experiences in my life. I travel to McAlester weekly and usually have BBQ from Rib Crib at some point in the week. On this experience the food was HORRIBLE. I ordered a two meat plate with chopped brisket for both meats. This is what I usually get. Today it was more like cubed brisket, that was dry, tough and cold. Usually the meal is juicy, tender and warm by the time I get to the hotel. If they didn't have chopped brisket then they should have said so and I would have made a decision from there.

I choked down the meat, as I didn't want to go out for something else. I usually don't give places 2nd chances, but since I have a long history with Rib Crib I will try again , but not for some time. This will be the catalyst to try other places in town. As we are moving to the area in a month maybe I will find a better BBQ place to give my business to. This meal was God awful. Beware if you should choose to eat at this establishment.

I will say that the young man at the front desk was very polite and friendly. Should I choose to return I will probably tip him, which is something I generally don't do...
