I came here with my boyfriend without a reservation. The hostess was friendly and seated us indoors. The outside patio was romantic but I didn't prefer the ambiance as it lacked lighting and ambiance, personally.
The interior was dark, cool, and romantic. However, unlike other fine dining restaurants I've been to, I'm not sure if it was due to the party of 10+ being present but the noise level was loud so we couldn't hear the music. We didn't mind it because we just talked amongst ourselves. There were big parties to our left and right. The crowd was more mature, perhaps due to the price of the establishment; we were the youngest guests in the house.
The waiter was friendly as well and had excellent wine pairing recommendations. We had the crab meat tower and Caprese salad for each of us as appetizers and we're so glad we only ordered one tower for both of us. The crab meat tower was rather large and was large enough to fill us as one whole meal. It was so delicious; such a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The wonton crisps were perfect to go with it. I'd go back just to get that next time. The salad was delicious also; had the perfect balance of dressing as well. It was large and I couldn't finish it all.
We ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye as our main and I've never been so full before an entrée before. I still ate a little bit of the meat (and grilled potatoes and tomatoes, it came with them) because we couldn't bring the whole thing home and it tasted amazing. The chef cut our meat for us and it was an interesting experience. I wish I had a bigger stomach to eat them all but I was too full and my boyfriend had to eat most of it. He said that the meat was one of the best he's ever had and that the price was very fair compared to other Tomahawk steaks he's had. It was a bang for your buck.
Everything about this restaurant is great. I'll go back if I'm craving fine dining in the...
Read moreI like how our drinks were never less than half empty. That they waited until we were done with what we were eating at the moment before they brought out our next course. I like that everyone was bilingual so everyone felt included. I know it's not a michelin star restaurant but there's a few things just a few things that could get them up there. The tapas BEST appetizer in the valley they were addictive!!! The calamari was the most tender not chewy I've ever had, the sauce paired with it drowned out the calamari they need to play with different sauces to find the one that marries it. Honestly with the right sauce it could be orgasmic! The Cesar salad was delicious made me want a whole jumbo bowl of it. I almost forgot about the starter bread, the butter it came with. THE BUTTER IT CAME WITH! I'd slap my momma for a tub of that! The cowboy ribeye was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The mashed potatoes were good they were missing something though. The carrots too sweet for my taste I couldn't taste the carrot itself. The asparagus was perfect and the tiny potatoes were so creamy and soft. The red snapper with the sauce was the star of the show along with the steak fillet Idk what it was called. Last but not least the brownie a la mode was more of a cake not a brownie it was ok. We would eat here again I remember the tapas pre covid and they did not disappoint or fail me. Im glad they didn't change anything there. The service was 10 out of 10. Everyone works so well together the flow is beautiful. I never review the nicer places I go to but I just had to review this place. The service was unforgettable and the food was really good. If they would've sent me off with a warm chocolate chip cookie I would've cried it would've been the cherry on top lol everything we got was about $232 (pre tip) for 2 people but I feel it was worth it for the amount of food we got along...
Read moreI don’t usually waste my time writing reviews but when I do, it’s either I am very much pleased with a service or it’s the complete opposite. I regret making a reservation in this restaurant. Had to wait for a few minutes for the hostess to seat us and when she did, she just left right away. She didn’t even offer a sling nor high chair considering that she saw us come in with a baby in a car seat. My husband had to walk to the corner and grab one of the high chairs. No server came up to introduce themselves to us, instead it was the same hostess that sat us who took our orders and also tended the bar and the rest of the tables. We don’t even know her name because she didn’t introduce herself. The entire night we felt neglected, it would be more than 20mins before she comes back to see what we need and everytime she comes by, she is always in a rush. Before you could say anything, she’s already gone. People would come by to the table just to refill waters and clear the dishes but no eye contact nor asking what we need. After we were done eating our meal, there was no follow up. We had to tell the guy who helps clear the table to call our server so I can at least request for desserts with a candle considering we had two birthday celebrants. Instead, they handed us a dessert menu. We decided to just leave because the entire family were already annoyed and frustrated. And of course, an 18% gratuity was already added to the bill. I’m generous when it comes to tipping but that service was not even worth a dollar. I felt we could have gotten better service at a sit-down restaurant. Would not recommend this place to anyone and would definitely not come back. The food was decent but the bad service outweighed our...
