I chose here because it was dog friendly. If you bring your dog and they're not comfy with laying on gravel, is recommend bringing a mat. I brought a thin blanket and it was enough. My pup was uncomfy. Also, I'd recommend bringing your own water bowl as the ones I saw were available were either tossed in the gravel or dirt face down or face up but with the rain water from days ago and the water was orangy. Bringing back up doesn't hurt (I did). Having an outdoor patio that is dog friendly is great, especially here. The tree cover at noon was perfect shade for us. The chairs and comfortable metal and the table tops are manageable for plates. I hate wobbly plates. There are two buildings, one that is the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream building and the other is the coffee and food house. You order your food at the counter and they'll bring the food to you. I was able to ask for something to drink off the menu, I had asked the chocolate shoppe to make a vanilla milkshake but about 4 oz less and asked for the coffee shop for 2 shots of espresso (note: one shot is enough and in some towns it's called a White Shark). The coffee shop walked over the espresso and poured it into the shake for me. After getting drinks and sitting down my hubby and pup, we were comfortable enough in 84 degree weather sitting in the shade and settling in when our food was brought out about 5 minutes later. I had the Blueberry Toast and my husband had Summers' Scramble. Both were quite delightful and enough to fill out bellies. The shake made the brunch too much but I'll walk it off. Both were very tasty and my husband's latte was very tasty. The service was top notch, very understanding for ordering off the menu, they had gifts in both buildings and bring you salt and pepper upon request. I would recommend coming here with the pup as long as you are more than just your pup and you. Without the dog, stay inside and enjoy the people watching. Lots of windows and as long as it's not too hot inside, it's nice inside. Good food, good coffee (brought home a bag of espresso beans), and...
Read moreI simply love this place! i can't believe I have never got around to writing a review!
This is the cutest, homey place - an old home turned coffee and sandwich shop. Homey is the key word! It's nothing fancy or super trendy - but that's not a bad thing! It's cozy.
They offer wonderful coffee, coffee drinks and teas (among other beverages). They are made with love and quite tasty!
Their food. This is wear the 5-stars are WELL deserved! Let me start with breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches are AMAZING. They are made with yummy sauces, local cheeses, meats. You can taste the quality that goes into them. I am gluten free, and they accommodate that as well. Love that they can make the sandwiches and paninis easily with GF bread! My absolute FAVORITE?! The chorizo and sweet potato hash. Holy cow. There are no words for how amazing this is! It's so so so good that I had to learn how to recreate this amazingness at home (we moved 2+ hours away). The combination of sweet potatoes, chorizo, egg, onion and red peppers is a party in my mouth. Cannot recommend this menu item enough!!!
Their lunch sandwiches are also SO good. Similar to what I say about breakfast - quality and local ingredients you can taste.
They make everything to order, so don't expect your food to be ready in a few minutes. It does take time! But it's worth it.
They also offer ice cream and...
Read moreI used to love this place, and would have gladly given it 5 stars in the past. Sadly, I've come away disappointed far more than happy in recent weeks. I order my coffee extra hot, it's been warm at best the last several times I got it. I order online for curbside on a regular basis. I'm usually quoted 15 minutes for coffee. Today, it took 25, as I was put last in line while people who didn't order ahead had orders made for them. The food is delicious, I only wish I could get more than half my soup cup filled (they used to come full) and receive the plastic wear I pay extra for. I've been sad to see how many businesses have let their customer service tank during Covid. I feel like this has been...
