Hope the owner is ashamed of this!!!! We made reservations for New Year’s Eve thinking 8:15 would be a little slower. We were fine waiting as it was slammed busy. We heard other people waiting 40 minutes for there drinks, that’s because they only had one bartender for the whole restaurant. As an owener they should have know it was going to be busy and hired extra help. The poor receptionist (2) were running around crazy trying to bus tables and get people seated. There were several tables sitting dirty, and no help to be found. We finally got a seat after pointed out there were several places to sit. The waiter finally came over, not once but twice saying I’ll be right there. He finally showed up and we were ready to order our drinks and dinner at that point. 25 minutes later we got our drinks!!! We had a party of 4 not 40. It took them 25 minutes just to get our drinks. We ordered shrimp cocktail appetizer that never showed up, our salads and soups never came but our dinner did. It was comical to see their faces when we I said I guess we’re not getting our appetizer or salad and soup!
That wasn’t the worst part. Our steaks weren’t even cooked they were less than rare when we ordered 2 of them medium well and one medium rare. When I say raw they were so undercooked it was discusting. The waiter couldn’t even say anything but oh my god!!!! My salad that they brought me was wrong, the soup was room temperature.
Overall I couldn’t believe that everything that went wrong went wrong. The steaks were charred on the outside and raw inside. I do understand they were busy but if you can’t handle a busy night then they need to stop taking people and hire people that can handle a busy kitchen.
As an owner I would be embarrassed to call this my place of business. Not once did a manager or the owner come to our table and apologize for everything. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t prepare for a busy night as you were booked solid for days before that night. I’m going to call the owner Thursday and share my experience with him. My bill was $180 and I left the poor waiter a nice tip since not all of it was his fault. I don’t ever really write negative reviews but I hope the owner sees this and anyone else thinking about going here and thinks...
Read moreI've always wanted to try this place and last night we finally did! The restaurant was packed, but there was a table in the back sports bar area and we asked to sit in the back, I'm glad we did. Our server Kelly was super helpful and friendly. I ordered my steak wrong 🙄 and she sweetly sent it back to cook a bit longer. Thank you for that Kelly!
To start, we ordered mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. Nothing extra special about those, but they were definitely good. They are wrapped like an egg roll but inside was a hefty amount of mozzarella goodness and crunch with a soft cheesy pull.. cooked just right! Hands down the thickest and CHEESIEST mozzarella stick I've ever had. The marina sauce was very good and full of red sauce goodness!
I ordered the Surf & Turf (Ribeye and Lobster) grilled asparagus and loaded mashed potatoes... DELICIOUS!! My steak was medium well, tender and juicy right of the grill.. Perfect! The asparagus was also grilled, but not over done. The loaded mashed were exactly as described on the menu and loaded full of flavor.
My boyfriend ordered the Porterhouse steak, loaded mashed potatoes sauteed vegetables, he LOVED it! Nothing was over cooked, which is perfect for us.
The atmosphere was as you would expect being seated in the bar and we were ok with that. It was actually more quiet than the table area was. I think they had a very large group out there and boy, they were seemingly having a BLAST..lol. ( a few sounds of breaking glass from an overly excited customer) I'm sure the staff was slightly annoyed, but they all seemingly handled it with grace and a few eye rolls after the second or third break🤣🤦🏾♀️
We ended our dinner with a nice sized piece of Strawberry cheesecake and my boyfriend had a double chocolate cake to go. Both desserts were OUTSTANDING!! I do think next time I'll ask for extra strawberry sauce as I like a lot of it!
All in all we will definitely go back. There are other dishes that sounded very good and we'd like to try them for sure.
Hopefully we can have Kelly again as our server. That women...
Read moreWanted to try the new steakhouse, so went with my wife, sister and her husband to celebrate 2 birthday (last week). My wife has celiac disease, where she gets violently ill if she eats wheat products/gluten. She alerted the server, asking what would be recommended options. Settling on a seafood dish, the server clearly promised she would alert the kitchen to ensure no utensils would be used to make her dish that were also in process of being used for other dishes.
The other 3 of us had steaks, which were good. My wife loved the taste of her dish and was going to take home the leftover. She started to feel a reaction she typically gets at the on-start of being "wheated" and asked the server if she was certain there was no wheat products used in her dish. The server told her the sauce had flour to thicken it! Although the damage was done, we asked to speak with the manager/owner to alert them what happened and to let him know my wife was going to get VERY sick for the next 4 days and we were leaving for vacation the next morning. The server kept trying to get the manager to come over and eventually he did (after joking with a customer in the bar for 15 minutes).
The manager gave no indication of concern, said he'd check with the kitchen and never came back to discuss further. Our server said she'd remove my wife's dish from the bill.
This resulted in a horrible vacation with my wife in bed for 4 days. Although the food was pretty good, it took nearly 2 hours to get it, they had obvious rookie servers (the bartender warned us that they did not know how to make most drinks on their menu and to be patient with her) and the manager (I think also the owner) did not seem to care at all about...
