Don's Subs & Catering — Restaurant in McHenry

We came in for the very first time today, on a Saturday noon for lunch, it was a little busy as they had a catering order to finish up, but otherwise the wait was worth it! The employees were fantastic and were very attentive with asking us to be patient as they were a little backed up with the catering order, asked how our food was, etc. My partner enjoyed his Barn Club sandwich and I LOVED the nachos supreme, it was large portions and reasonable prices! This is a place I would highly recommend, and would be back again soon!

#update: We came back! I had the tuna sandwich, my partner had the Captain sandwich. They were absolutely fresh and delicious! The owner of the shop gave us a free cookie, which was super sweet of her! I think it was her birthday too if I heard correctly, so...

One of those weird places that you have no idea why they even bother running a place. They don’t even open for more than 5 hours a day apparently, and even during their regular scheduled hours, good luck getting through to them. Tried to place an online order and their orders were paused. Tried to call, no answer. This was Wednesday 4/30 at 11:20am.

Oh well. Can’t imagine they’ll be around long if there’s no business transactions. No loss. Plenty of other sub places around town getting it right

Gotta be one of McHenrys sweetests spots! It was a lucky day indeed when I happened upon this ultra kind Sub Shop!! Whoa do they have an amazing menu of yummys to choose from too! When I walked in my nose fell in love with the joint. And Page was so ultra kind to take the time to explain all the awesomeness in-store for my tastebuds. This is one of those Family places that puts big smiles on faces. I know I'll be back again and again. I know you will to once you check it out. Again, I can't compel you enough, grab the kids, grab the grandparents or definitely grab a date and for sure grab a few menus to take back to work, the staff will love ya!!...
