I purchased a variety of 6 - 9 oz loaves of Jenny Lee swirl bread from QVC. My order arrived within 2 days via UPS and the exterior of the box was extremely hot. All of the breads were tightly packed in the box, hot to the touch and had somewhat flattened out. Even though the box was clearly marked perishable, I'm guessing other boxes were inadvertently placed on top. The company should consider using deeper boxes for shipping their delicate breads to avoid crushing. The slices are less than 1/2" thick, not dense like most breads and get stuck in my toaster. The enclosed bread pudding recipes sound delicious and very tempting to make. BUT in my opinion it would take all 6 loaves to make a decent bread pudding for a family. I'm extremely disappointed that the QVC presentation didn't live up to the products I received. Pretty expensive bread for $30.
I have ordered quite a few food items since June. The AZ heat impacts fresh and frozen items in transit for 2 days on UPS trucks since they aren't refrigerated. Read moreI grew up with Jenny Lee Bakery, so when I heard that this place existed, I went immediately, with images of tea cookies and cakes in my mind. Well, I suppose I should have done my research. When I reached the location, the retail portion was approximately the size of a walk-in closet, offering only bread and cinnamon rolls made on-site, and a small assortment of grocery/convenience items. I left with a few cinnamon rolls, which looked and smelled quite good, but when I got home they were fairly stale on the outside. Overall, I give said rolls a C grade. The icing is tasty. The woman behind the counter was courteous and helpful, and honestly, she's the reason this gets 2, and...
