SHAY AND BAEEE SEAFOOD EXPRESS & MORE — Restaurant in McKees Rocks

I was afraid of how much I would like the food because of the wait time, but let me tell you. I would have waited another 30 mins for what we just ate. We are from Ohio and just wanted to do a getaway from the kids in an air bnb. Looking for something interesting we found Shay in google maps. We thought it was closed because the phone number online and on Facebook don’t work but it looked too good to pass up. So we drove by anyway and ordered the #2 seafood combo and the twin tails w the mac n cheese and yams. Told us it would be 40 mins and it took about an hour. Took it back to the stay because they don’t have a dinning room, it stayed nice and hot. Smoked a little on the way back to the air bnb, got out the little table set up in front of the tv, some drinks and went at it after a quick “thank you Jesus, bless our food” I almost drove right back to order a second round after 2 bites. I usually don’t like restaurant Mac n cheese but this shit smack, and the yams were on point. I know Thanksgiving in this house is like heaven.

Idk who cooked it BAEE OR SHAY but I recommend it for anyone in the area. Make the drive.

Pittsburgh keeps showing us that this city hosts some of the greatest food spots, and Shay and Baeee's just got added to the list!

Upon entering, I greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome from one of the owners, Shay.

They have very extensive menu and had a nice variety of food available.

There are two benches available to sit down on and wait for you order; however, this is purely a to-go spot, so there were not any dining tables. The prices are consistent with similar restaurants in the city, plus the portions are huge, so no complaints there.

Now let's talk food! First, let me say they had some of meatiest, juiciest, lamb chops I've had from a restaurant in a while. Cooked to order, tempature of choice, and flavored sooooo well. Let's get into these candied yams y'all. Bravo to the chef, he made them perfect! Sweet and soft through every bite, and not one ounce of bitterness or crunchiness.

We came at the end of night so we missed the Mac and cheese, but I will make sure to come early next time.

Unfortunately didn’t have a good experience at this establishment. I wanted to treat my daughter to a nice meal to make her feel better. Not from the area so I looked the restaurant up good reviews. Drove from the other side of town.About 60 minutes or so each way. Order my food, he repeats the order back to me just fine. I don’t know all the prices because he said he would pull a price together. I’m thinking cool. I paid 34.00. Turns out when I pick the order up he wasn’t there. I get to my place, only one meal. And not my daughter’s meal. Pissed call no real action to fix the problem. Over charged me so I paid $34 for a chicken/fish dinner plate. He never mentioned one order placed. Terrible. Duped.
