Mama Pepino's Pizza — Restaurant in McKeesport

I have lately been looking for a new place since my old favorite pizza place has been delivering very inconsistent quality.

We tried this pizza because it was the only one open late that we could think of and a long time ago it was my go-to place.

The pizza was good, not great, but piled high with cheese and light on toppings. I thought it was good and would be amenable to trying again. Crust was soft like Pittsburgh-style pizza and it would not surprise me if there was provolone in that cheese. I liked the cheese.

The staff is in a real hurry because they are a pizza place and it is a weekend. But there is little patience to be found there. It was not an issue to me who knows what food service feels like on a weekend, but the person who came with me went back out to the car because she...

I have an out of town phone number so when I called the guy kept asking me if I knew where I was calling? I kept reiterating that I knew but he kept asking me then when I asked about a particular sandwich the guy was kind of rude!! I ordered the family special. $50. With the $5. Tip I added for delivery.. the overpriced wings was over cooked, we asked for spicy instead we got all season salt.. the hoagie was meatball, we got frozen meatball that tasted freezer burned and the sauce tasted like tomato paste, the pizza was ok the kids said they liked it.
