Finally! A Shipley location close to me. I grew up within walking distance to the old Plano location and fell in love with their Donuts and Kolaches. I must say though, this location really surprised me with their customer service, especially being a brand new location! Told me to have a Blessed Day and everything. 😀
The quality here was also incredible. I got a box of chocolate iced (with a couple including Coconut for the Mrs.) which did not disappoint. Also got a heapin helping of the new Bold Sausage and Cheese kolaches. I had no idea these even existed. I was always an OG sausage and cheese guy but these are awesome. A little spicier than the original but not off-putting for those with a more tender pallet.
Lastly, their new drinks are a game changer. Half the price of the competition and just as good if not better. I have had the Strawberry frozen and loved it, but the salted caramel cold brew was amazing!

Read moreI have had to downgrade my previous review to a 1 star. I have come in here a few times, usually around 8am, and the inventory is very low. This last trip was frustrating. There was less than a dozen glazed and half a dozen chocolate glazed. I wanted some chocolate Bavarian filled but they didnt have Bavarian with chocolate glazed and would make any. If you look at the menu maybe a quarter of those options are actually available and of those options the quantity is barely any. It is surprising that almost any other donut store in rhe area can manage to plan for morning rushes and determine what should be made so that there are options. Every time I come here it is the same. This last trip it meant i couldnt get what i wanted which was basically just a bunch of glazed donuts. I could get that from Krogers but not Shipley. That is highly...
Read moreI never had Shipley’s and it was really bad and very disappointing. I got 1/2 dozen of kolaches and a dozen donut holes, and they were pretty awful to say the least. Didn’t know you could mess up a kolache, I would have been better off getting one from a gas station. I’m not sure if the donut holes were old or if they thought baking bread was same thing as frying dough¿ Their prices certainly did not reflect the quality of their food, but I’m just speaking from the 2 things I got and were able deflect any interest from me wanting to try anything else from there. I’m going to stick with the Starbucks a couple doors down, won’t get kolaches or donuts but I won’t be...
