This past Saturday 9th, in the morning hrs around 11 am, my wife and I took our daughter to play in the "All-Abilities Playground" in the Bonnie Wenk Park
Around that time an ice cream trunk parked in the internal parking lot, there was a private event (birthday) and there were lots of kids, I thought "this guy is going to be selling ice cream the whole day!" due yo the amount of kids in the park, but he sold about 10 to 15 ice cream and then the truck left.
Anyways, right away when we bought our daughter's ice cream, and after the truck left, we started to get alert from our bank, about a cloned card, we got fraudulent amounts that exceeded 3 grand. All that happened in matter of minutes with charges in whole different time zones of the country
We hope that none of the other parents got hacked, but there is a feasibility that could had happened.
We talked to our bank customer service and they are working on the case.
We talked to the park authorities to check the cameras to see if there is a chance to catch the truck car plates, but unfortunately they don't have security cameras at the park, they also informed us that ice cream vendors are not allowed in the park and goes against the city's ordinance, so if you see an ice cream vendor, please either use cash or just don't use the service, because is banned anyways
We hope this helps avoiding unpleasant events like these to...
Read moreFar one of my favorite parks in all of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I come here very regularly, and always see it full of lively people enjoying the space. It’s well manicured well taken care of, and enjoyable for all ages, as well as pets… the one complaint, I have is a big one!
Over the last year consistently the restrooms have been locked during busy park times, for instance today is a Sunday at 1:30 pm and they were about 200 people in the park and no available bathrooms. I’ve had to drive to Walmart to go to the restroom myself. I’ve called City Of mcKinney several times about this because some weekends it’s unlocked and some weekends it’s not, so there doesn’t seem to be any consistency. If they could have the bathrooms open every day it would be convenient, also to note I’ve been here during the week during the weekend during the mornings during the evenings, all different times, and inconsistently found restrooms, either open or unopened without any rhyme or reason. I will be placing another call to the City Of mcKinney to complain about this, somebody needs to be dedicated to unlock this bathroom every morning and every evening if you’re trying to keep people out of it overnight. The bathroom should be open when the...
Read moreLove this dog park. Never had a problem…..until today. There was a woman there with a very hyper untrained puppy. I get it, but she had let the puppy roll in the mud hole by the splash pad and then let it run and jump on other dogs and humans almost knocking me down. I mean this pup jumped onto my dogs back. And then started jumping on me. She said “I’m sorry, he’s a puppy and your dog can wash off in the pool”. Well, my dog doesn’t like the pool. We weren’t in the pool area until she opened the gate and let her pup and a few others out…my dog ran in towards the exit. She’d had enough of the pup jumping all over her. Got to the point she was showing her teeth and she’s normally very mild mannered. We were just walking by on our way out. Now I have a muddy sandy dog, her new harness all muddy, my clothes muddy and now my car interior is muddy. Had to come home and bathe my dog, change clothes wash the harness and clean my car. Like I said, I get it, it’s a dog park, but I just think until your dog is trained to have manners and doesn’t act like an out of control crazy dog, keep it on a leash! I’ll definitely go back, but just hope we can be on a different schedule...
