Grand Café — Restaurant in McLoud

Had breakfast at the Grand on the 31st of July. We were charged twice for our meal. We caught the overcharge later that day. When we called the Cafe about it, the person told us the machine had malfunctioned. Why she didn’t address it then is anyone’s guess. She should have told us when it happened, not later when we caught Grand Cafes error. She is supposedly the Manager. She stated that the amount would be credited back to our account within 24 hours. 84 hours later, no resolution. we call her back and the story changed. Now we have to wait for an Audit on Monday, the 10th of August for it to be addressed and another 5-7 days to be credited. Why would she change the story? Laziness, incompetence, or is it something else? The persons name is Melissa. I’d give zero stars if I could because along with the uncredited overcharge, and poor customer service, the breakfast was cold. The only reason for us to come back would be to talk to someone who knows what they are doing so they can credit our account for double billing us and then acting like we are imposing for asking them to fix their mistake, if indeed that’s...

Hostess told us and other hotel guests there was a 30 minute wait when there were at least 8-10 empty tables. When I questioned it she said they were “pretty busy”. I would rather she just explained they were short staffed if that was the case rather than insulting our intelligence when there were obviously several empty tables. When we mentioned this to the hotel front desk they just blamed the cafe as being under different management. Very poor customer service and poorly trained employees. The employees at hotel should work in conjunction with cafe as it is only breakfast option for...

I am so disappointed in the french onion soup I just got from here! We were here 3 months ago for our anniversary and I got the french onion soup. It was so good I couldn't wait to get it again when we came back home from North Dakota. My husband tried to surprise me with my favorite soup from here tonight and it is nothing but some onions in some brown water. Almost no flavor at all! What happened to this...
