My friend got there about 10 minutes before me and ordered a vanilla latte and a bacon/egg/cheese empanada. She didn't get her drink until I waited in line and ordered, and the empanada was another 5 minutes. 20 minutes for a microwaved empanada is ridiculous. The empanada was not worth the wait. It was tiny, with no discernible cheese, and it was microwaved into a molten soggy lump. The latte had little vanilla flavor and tasted watered down.
I ordered a plain hot coffee and a cinnamon roll (unheated). I would have loved a scone but they looked like fat overbaked cookies. If you are charging over $5 for a scone, you should know what a scone is. There were no prices on the baked goods, which is smart because I would not have paid whatever I paid for a small nondescript roll. I don't know what I was charged because the only way to get a receipt is by text (shady) and no I don't want to get your spam texts. The total for a small plain coffee and a cinnamon role was $12.44 which was too much.
When I finally got my plain drip coffee it was full to the brim and slopped all over the counter. The woman working seemed very annoyed when I asked to pour off a bit so I could fit milk in, as though adding milk was an unexpected thing.
The little area with milk and sugar was on the counter where people picked up their drinks so it was a cluster with people trying to fix their coffee in the way of people that just wanted to pick up. The man after me used up the last of the milk and the same annoyed woman leaned over to look in his cup as if to determine if he used too much milk or could have more.
10 minutes later, I still didn't have my cinnamon roll. I went to the counter to ask the annoyed lady and she asked me if I was sure I ordered a roll (excuse me??) The very nice man that rang me up popped over and confirmed that I did. It was sitting in line by the microwave behind other items to be nuked. If I had wanted it warmed I would have been waiting even longer because whatever system they used to keep things moving wasn't working. The roll was somewhat stale and the coffee was bland and tasted watered down.
If this place were brand new, it could be called growing pains but we are 4 months in now. I will say what others are mostly hinting at. The prices are too high, the products are not great. Overall it's a disappointment that cute decor can't fix. It would be wonderful if the owners would take heed from the comments in these reviews but so far it seems...
Read moreI come here every weekend, and it’s usually the same crew. Today, however, I encountered a guy and two girls I hadn’t seen before. I ordered three beverages, but one tasted like plain coffee when it was supposed to have two different flavors. No big deal; we approached them to let them know about the issue. They took the drink from us and left it sitting behind the counter for a few minutes. When they returned it, they told us there was nothing they could do and proceeded to make fun of us, asking, “Who’s complaining?” while pointing in our direction. As we were leaving, they passive-aggressively yelled, “Have a nice day,” even though they hadn’t said that the first time we left and hadn’t been addressing anyone else during our visit. As someone who has worked as a barista and in customer service my whole life, I was genuinely appalled. I’m so disappointed because we look forward to coming here every weekend, but after today, we will no longer be returning. People like the crew today are the reason customer service is lacking....
Read moreWe stumbled across this new coffee house and were seriously impressed. The coffee drinks are fantastic! Smooth, flavorful, and with a few unique flavors that you don’t find just anywhere. Clearly, they know what they’re doing. We had the Dubai Chocolate Iced Latte and PBJ Iced Latte, both terrific!
The space itself has a great vibe. Welcoming, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and out. Outside, they’ve even got corn hole setup and sidewalk chalk to keep things fun and casual. Inside, there’s a bookshelf full of board games and books, adding to the cozy, community feel.
We didn’t try the food this time, but the breakfast sandwiches looked amazing! We’re definitely coming back to give them a try. If you’re looking for a chill place to grab a great coffee, hang out with friends, or just unwind, this place...
