Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite pleasant with a very clean and upscale look. Not quite white tablecloth, but close.
Service : I went over lunch and the service was fast and pleasant. They gave time when needed to look over the menu and were able to answer all of my questions.
Food: the food itself was quite good! They started with a complementary bread basket with oil to go with it. The bread was wonderfully cooked and was a good indicator of the rest of the food.
The dolma I ordered as an appetizer (stuffed grape leaves) were cold and likely earlier in the day to be refrigerated, but their taste was great and they definitely did not taste frozen. There were four to an order which would be a nice amount for two people if that were your only appetizer choice.
The Turkish coffee was OK. The presentation was wonderful, but expect a small espresso shot sized cup thick with coffee oil as intended with a Turkish coffee.
The main course was the Tektas spicy chicken as pictured. The chicken was cooked wonderfully and juicy for a chicken thigh. The cucumber tomato celery chopped salad on the side complements the spice of the chicken well. The rice is also cooked very well and I would definitely order this dish again after trying a few other dishes here.
PRICE : considering the area this restaurant is in, the prices are actually pretty good. I would consider it a good value for the quality of...
Read moreFirst time being here and we arrived only 1.5 hours before they closed but the food and the service were so good. We had Anatolian appetizer plate (for 1) for Appetizer, Doner Kebab and Anatolian mix grill (with lamb) for Main course, Ayran (Yogurt drink) and Sour cherry juice, Kunefe and Chocolate soufflé for dessert. We were served with homemade bread and balsamic vinegar + olive oil first. The bread portion was enough for starting, crunchy and fresh. Falafel and hummus in the Appetizer were so delicious. I didn’t like the dryness of the cheese but it was fine. Many people like it in general. The main course was so exceptional. I personally don’t like the lamb smelly flavor, but it was difficult for me to recognize that taste there. They were so good dismissing the annoying taste. The beef and the chicken in the grill dish were juicy and tasty. Two drink were new to us. Sour yogurt was good, not too much sour and perfect to help me clear my tongue for the next dish. The sour cherry juice was so fresh. I also love the desserts. With Kunefe, I could taste the crunchy kinda crepe with pistachio cream inside. It was freshly and hot made and served with vanilla ice cream by the side. With the chocolate soufflé, the brownie in the bottom was hot, it melted in my mouth with every spoon of vanilla ice cream.
Nothing to complain. For the total bill, we paid...
Read moreWhile Visiting the area, I searched for restaurants near Dulles Airport and Anatolian Bistro was at the top of my search. Now I know why. We entered the restaurant, was seated and promptly waited on by two servers. Great Service by Halil!! She was helpful with the menu in explaining many of the dishes. We were first presented a basket of warm, delicious bread, olive oil and olives. A nice welcoming shortly after arriving. We started with the Mevsin Salad which was a fresh and delicious combination of vegetables and dressing. I ordered the Donar dish and my husband ordered the lamb kebob. The Donar Meat was tender, flavorful and plentiful. One of the best tasting Donar meats I have ever experienced at a Mediterranean Restaurant. It was also served with rice. My husband's lamb was prepared to the requested doneness. Kudos to the Chefs. Though we were fully satisfied with the amount of food we received, the Homemade Hazelnut Ice cream peeked my interest. Ice Cream is my favorite dessert, therefore I always seek it out in every town I visit. Well, this Ice Cream was "The Best" Ice Cream I have ever eaten. No Exaggeration. Hazelnut in flavor with chocolate woven in. Amazing!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant, and you MUST save room for the Homemade Ice Creams. Thank you Anatolian Bistro for a...
