Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in McPherson

I've never stiffed on a tip in my life, so the fact that I chose to do so today says a lot. Today, I, my wife, and our son (15 months) came in for lunch today. Our server, Shaelee C., came to our table and was immediately hostile and unwelcoming. There was no attempt on her part to be personable and professional, and she was extremely condescending to my wife when she simply asked if we could swap a side on a dish. Shortly after this, we got our food (delivered by another server, who was quite nice), Shaelee C. dropped our check on the table and walked away without asking us for boxes or if we needed anything else. She then walked past our table no less than 12 times while we were still eating to see if we had put our card down, each time refusing to acknowledge us at all but obviously peering over at the check. Then we heard her muttering under her breath, "Ugh. Oh my God, they're still here...", as she turned the corner while my wife was feeding our son before even being able to eat herself. The difference in how she treated our table was shocking compared to the others in her section. Our baby was super happy and chill the whole time without bothering anyone, so I legitimately think she just genuinely hates children or something, which was why she was so incredibly disrespectful to us alone. Thank goodness we were just passing through town, but we'll definitely avoid this place going forward. It's a shame, though, because the food was amazing and some of the best we've ever had at...

We had an absolutely amazing time!!! Eric was so damn awesome!! Love you Eric!! Highly recommend having the won ton tacos for your appetizer!! You'll get 4 of them.. squirt the lime over them before you eat them!! The moist small bbq sauce covered chicken melts against your pallet then you'll crunch the fresh cabbage and carrots with it's sauce... AWESOME!! Licking my lips just from the memory!! I had three cheese Mac n cheese with fried chicken strips, pasta cooked perfectly, sooooooo cheesy and creamy!! Chicken had that crunch you truly hope you'll find but don't expect when it's married to cheesy awesomeness.. ahhhmaa'zing!! My son had the All you can shovel in your pie hole boneless ribs in sweet honey bbq sauce and he said they were off the books good!! (his actual words) he said the fries were fries.. Hot, salty fried potatoes lol.. I had a couple adult beverages (3-screwdrivers ;-) and my son had Dr pepper.. our bill came in just under $48 and we happily paid $60.. We came here for half price apps. Got there at 9:40p and got sat pretty fast. It took 15 minutes to get a drink from a hostess. 10 minutes before someone asked us for our order. Then the table next to us the was sat 35 minutes AFTER us got their appetizer, meal and was boxing up their left overs and left before we even got our food. When our waitress came by you could see that she had totally forgotten about our food and rushed to the back to bring us a cold dried up meal. I ordered the appetizer sampler. My dip was cold, chips were chewy, my wings were cold and the sauce was dried on to them. It was annoying to have our food come out late but they sure had some balls to bring out cold meals on top of untimely service. When she brought us our meals our drinks had been empty for a long while and we were just crunching our ice at this point. She refilled our drinks and never saw her again until she brought us the check. Saw the waitress 3 times our whole experience.
