Very expensive compared to any other Mexican restaurants nearby. $4 for an iced tea? These prices made us only order waters here. Im not paying $4 for a glass of instant tea. Crazy. Everything here is about $3 - $4 more than other Mexican joints in Longmont or Dacono or anywhere really.
The kid’s burrito and taco was an average deal at $9.35, but given the quality of the food, even that was not a good value.
The ceviche was $19.99 for an average amount of ceviche with 5 slices of avocado and 3 tostadas. Slightly overpriced, but the quality was not good. Chewy fish that was not fresh and lukewarm shrimp. I only ate about half because it was not good. I hope I don’t get sick.
Wife had the burrito cho cho for $17. She said it was a decent portion but it was too salty. Still not a good value.
$3.11 for an extra basket of chips? (See menu pictures) Are you kidding? I can buy a whole bag for less.
Average service. Nothing stood out about it.
We live relatively close, but we would drive past this overpriced place to drive 10 minutes south and have waaayyy better quality food for normal prices. Rumbo 52 and/or Casa Cortez are both within 10 minutes of here, so how is this place still in business?
Needless to say, we will definitely NEVER...
Read moreThis place is out of this world good. My steak came out medium rare without me even having to ask for that. I don't ever ask for medium rare for carne asada bc it's so thin-cut that I know it's a pain to get it just right especially in a busy kitchen. I really wanted steak and would have accepted a well-done steak given that I didn't specify either way but my steak was a perfect medium rare. The beans were like velvet. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. THE CHEESE DIP WAS GLORIOUS. Even the tortillas were beyond good. The salsa was delicious with just a hint of spice to make you reach for your water/drink which was served in nice big glasses. We went in at around 4pm on a Saturday I wanna say and the service was incredible. Above and beyond but also not hovering or rushing. They weren't super busy so I hope that's just because lots of people order to-go. I can't say enough good things. Even their pico was fantastic and looked beautiful. We are new to town and I'm happy to say we have found our new spot. It's comforting to find a place where you can go and just know that everything is gonna be consistently great. 10/10 would...
Read moreSo we went to this place after Googling Mexican restaurants on the way home from a trip. The waiter could barely explain to me what and how much the "combo plates" were because of the hard to read menu, but finally understood the dinner combo (it was 3:30 p.m.) was what we were going to be charged for at $10.99 each. It was 2 items: a chicken burrito, and a chile relleno. The food came, and the burrito was literally a burrito made with a flour soft taco sized tortilla. It was the smallest burrito I have ever seen in my life. The contents were 85% onion and pepper, and 15% chicken. My husband had the same combo plate I did, and kid had just 1 burrito. After still being hungry after our burrito and chile relleno snacks, we ordered the guacamole (which took me 15 minutes of chasing him down to remind him we ordered it), which consisted of 85% tomatoes and peppers, and 15% avacado. The whole bill was $47.98 for 3 soft taco sized burritos, 2 chile rellenos, and 1 small guac. SUPER expensive for what you get, and be prepared to leave...
