This place is a true gem. And by "gem," I mean a place where the food is fantastic, the coffee sings, and the staff are… well, let's just say they're dedicated to their craft, even if their craft seems to involve maintaining perfect internal temperatures despite external forces unknown. We popped in for a quick breakfast, and let me tell you, that breakfast sandwich was stellar. Like, "write-home-to-mom-about-it" stellar. It hit all the right notes, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with love. Then came the iced vanilla latte with whole milk. Oh. My. Goodness. This wasn't your average chain coffee shop's watery, sugar-laden apology for a latte. This was a smooth, rich, vanilla-kissed dream in a cup. My wife and I both agreed: this latte could convert even the most hardcore black coffee drinker. The atmosphere was super nice too – cozy, inviting, the kind of place you want to settle into with a good book or some even better company. Everything was perfect, right down to the last delicious crumb and sip. Except for one minor, hilariously baffling detail: the staff were absolutely freezing. And I don't mean "a little chilly." I mean "visible shivers, huddled forms, and a general air of impending frostbite" cold. It wasn't even a cold day outside! We were genuinely perplexed. Were they rehearsing for an arctic expedition? Was there a secret, staff-only ice sculpture competition happening in the back? Did they forget to pay the heating bill and just decided to power through with sheer willpower and caffeine? We may never know. But bless their bundled hearts, they still served up incredible food and drinks with a smile (albeit a slightly chattering one). Seriously though, Down to Earth Café, your food and drinks are top-notch. Just… maybe consider investing in some space heaters, or at least a few extra sweaters for your incredibly dedicated, and visibly hypothermic, team. We'll definitely be back, probably with a few spare scarves just in case! I the customer was warm but the...

I love the atmosphere. Everyone is very accommodating to my service dog WHO I NEED! So that is a relief. The food is prepared with care and the ingredients seem to much more carefully chosen than a regular restaurant. There is a beautiful free water stand with ice. Alex is a friendly old soul who is very charismatic with the customers. He also chooses good staff. My favorite thing is there are many vegan options, finally!!! Vegan products are well represented here. What I would like to see improved is them not running out of microgreens for the avocado toast! That is frustrating. I need those microgreens on that toast! Please fix. I was going to compare them to Tucker and Co in Dillsburg but it isn't fair as both places have their places where they offer so much! I love going there. It is very peaceful and pretty well thought out! I think they will continue to grow and they...

As a former coffee shop owner, I have to say this is an outstanding spot that checks all the right boxes. It has the warmth and character you expect from a proper coffee shop, with just the right balance of charm and comfort. The selection of drinks is impressive and there’s something for everyone, from expertly brewed coffee to creative seasonal specials. The food options are equally enticing, making it an ideal place for a light breakfast, lunch, or just a snack with your coffee.

The atmosphere is what really stands out—comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for both catching up with friends or settling in with a book. It’s clear the owners put a lot of thought into the details, from the décor to the music. You feel like you’re part of a community here.

If you’re looking for a genuine coffee shop experience, this is the place to go. I’ll...

Down to Earth Cafe in Mechanicsburg PA has a lovely menu. There are also Harry Potter named drinks, food specials and pastries. I will go back. #food #restaurant #pennsylvania #wheretoeat

Mechanicsburg has needed a proper coffee shop and cafe like this for years. The food is delicious, and the menu is small enough that food always comes out quickly. The coffee is always perfection. Every single employee is super friendly. It does get a bit crowded, but that's what brings the place to life. I can't say enough good things about this place. Everyone, including myself, wishes they were open on Sundays so we don't have to give any more business to Starbucks. This is my new regular coffee spot!

What an incredible place! Everything here lives up to the name of the cafe, from the great people working, to the cozy atmosphere, to the earth-friendly offerings (loving the metal straws!!). The plants all over was such a nice, welcome change from your standard coffee shop. Large windows let in lots of sun, and there is a great selection of a variety of seating options. Even the bathroom - the nicest I’ve been in in a LONG time (with the plants hanging out in there, too!). HIGHLY recommended.
