Italian Groceria Medfield — Restaurant in Medfield

I wanted to send food to a friend who lives in Medfield from my home in Florida. This restaurant came up with great reviews. I placed an order that I thought was going to be delivered. When my transaction was finished I realized it didn’t ask for a delivery address so I called the restaurant. In the conversation I realized there was a mistake and my order was done as a pick up. The gentleman I spoke to, who I now know is Paul is the owner, listened to my dilemma. He immediately said “give me the address I will deliver the food for you.” I was shocked. He even text once he delivered the food to let me know it was taken care of. I can’t say enough about this man and his restaurant. He is what this country needs more of!! Very consistent, generous portions, great recipes, fresh ingredients, and respectful staff. The latest management--who's been around for quite a few years now--seems to be doing an excellent job. The food has always been good, but with prior management (many years ago), there were occasionally consistency issues. They've established quite a following around town; every time I go in, I have to wait in line. Even though I don't go that often, the person at the register always seems to remember my order. They're always polite, even to customers who don't return the favor.

I call for sandwiches from time to time as I like some of their food. Unfortunatley I can't get past how rude the guys are that run that place. Ive gotten a sandwich before where they forgot to put the chicken cutlet on. I understand mistakes happen so I continued to go there. I can't get past how rude they are in person and on the phone. Today I called and the guy who picked up rushed me in a rude tone and said " what do you want" 5 times in a row and told me to hurry up.
