Manager Sam is driving Joeâs into the ground!
As a business owner in Southern Oregon for over 40 years, Iâve seen what good management looks likeâand what happens when itâs missing. Unfortunately, Joeâs Sports Bar & Grill is a clear case of the latter, all stemming from one person: Sam, the manager.
My own experience with Sam reflects exactly what others have described in countless reviews: rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior. She makes no effort to create a welcoming environment. Instead, she treats customers like a nuisance. Iâve personally experienced this attitudeâunfriendly service, a lack of basic hospitality, and a complete disregard for the kind of treatment that keeps people coming back.
And Iâm clearly not alone:
âThe most rude bartenders of any bar in all of Southern Oregon⌠never greets, never smiles.â âWas denied service due to the edges of my ID having slight de-lamination⌠full of tweakers. The whole place just âseems off.ââ âThe waitresses are very blah, not inviting, not friendly⌠pretty sad.â
Joeâs may have good food and a decent setupâTVs, pool tables, the usual sports bar featuresâbut none of that matters when the leadership is this toxic. Guests walk in expecting a good time and walk out frustrated, judged, or ignored.
Joeâs doesnât just need improvementâit needs new management. Sam is not the right person to represent this business. If something doesnât change soon, Joeâs wonât just lose regularsâit will lose its...
Read moreThis was the second time that I've gotten a half cook burger is was red ish pink in the middle. When I noticed it I called them and informed them of the issue and was told to take a picture and come in to get a refund or another burger. We'll I also informed them that I work nights and couldn't come back in anytime soon then was told again to take a picture of the burger and to bring it in and show them. So a couple weeks go by and I go there last night b4 I go to work tell them the story and no one knows anything about and I'm pretty sure I talked to the owns wife when I called them and it was the same person that I talked to last night when I went in. And she totally blew me off saying " nope I didn't hear a thing about this and that no one had left any message or note about this issue. That was not a professional was to handle the issue. So now I'll never order food from this business again. Your better get food from a mini mart deli or 711. And since I made this post I was kicked out permanently. Which is fine. I'll keep letting people now about the bad food and unstable management. And be careful some of their costumers carry weapons on them and or there their car. Be safe. And one more thing if you ever happen to find yourself getting into a misunderstanding just leave. Because they will not help even if your not to blame for the misunderstanding. Be...
Read moreUsed to go here a lot. But the last 4 trips have made a group of us decide never again. I believe they have new ownership or mgt. Whatever, the fact is everything has gone downhill. All the new people are giving this place a bad name. The food is ok but that has changed there too and its not nearly as good. The atmosphere is about the same although that was never why you would go. The service is horrendous. Especially from a dark haired braided girl. She walks around like she is in a daze and only really helps those she knows apparently. Bringing food late, forgetting about your table for lengthy periods of time as she stands around talking to her friends and just being rude in general. This isnt just one time but 4 times in a row, by the same girl. The drinks are all over the place, order the same drink different nights and get different results. One of us got a tequila sunrise without the grenadine, not sure how that happens and it had sour and orange juice, so was basically a tequilla sour that tasted bad. The last trip she made up some rule that has never existed before which we just laughed at and then left for the last time. We can tell she doesnt like us and get the point by now. My dad used to own a few bars and when I was young he told me how employees can make or break a place, I understand now...
