Firstly, I would like to praise the sound when I entered the restaurant. The beautiful recitation of the Quran soothes any person that patronizes the spot.
Let's now focus on the people behind the counter, super hospitable and friendly and genuinely Egyptian. You'll feel welcomed the instance you strike a conversation.
Lastly the food, loved their Egyptian fries and the garlic dip! It was amazing and the fries were spiced well. The half chicken was good and has potential but could have been better if grilled fresh rather than reheated hence a tad drier than my liking. I really wouldn't mind waiting for a freshly grilled chicken, just add a disclaimer in the menu or online food ordering app that grilled chicken takes a longer time, and I am sure customers like me wouldn't mind. Don't get me wrong, the taste of the chicken was good! Anyway, it was nice of them to include a couple of free baklavas/sweets with my take away order!
Overall, highly recommend this halal restaurant and will visit again and try other items on the...
Read moreDelicious, fresh, well spiced Egyptian/middle eastern food. Kushari and Grill nails it. There menu is small but has numerous choices for meat eaters and people who don't eat meat. We loved the mixed grill plate with schwarma, a kofte kebab (beef), and chicken kebab. That comes with rice pilaf , salad and a pleasantly chunky hummus. The grape leaves are standouts. Dishes were served with a spicy garlic sauce... just right, not overloaded with garlic, tahini and a dressing for salad. There is an eggplant salad available and also baba ganoush. Some wraps. The two gentlemen cooking and serving were welcoming and obviously care a lot about freshness and quality. They are a very welcome addition to the Medford dining scene. Small eat in area with 4 tables, take out available. Patronize these guys! Very...
