Medford Cafe — Restaurant in Medford

I had order from Door Dash today, my order was missing, we contact Door Dash and they had me and my family wait for an hour for a resolution. The Door Dasher had left my order in the wrong building. We contact the restaurant Medford Cafe, told them what happened and they offered to re-do our order for free and be deliver the order personally and we were so grateful for it. We didn’t let off and kept digging so inspecting the photo from the Dasher we seen that he dropped it off the next door building, thankfully our order was still there. We reach out to Medford Cafe and told them to cancel the re-do as we got our food, 15 minutes later the sends us pie to apologize for what happened even though it wasn’t their fault. I seriously do not understand how the place is rated so well. Maybe it is the nice small town homely atmosphere, with people that do not have the heart to speak out against terrible food.

I tried three different meals. All three were the worse version of those respective meals I have ever tasted.

The food here seriously lacks flavor.

The soup tasted like Campbell’s.

The salad didn’t taste particularly fresh.

The chopped steak meat was a flavorless burnt turd of hamburger on a plate.

And the Philly steak with aujus astounded me in not a good way. As my favorite go to when I try a new restaurant, I was truly appalled at just how bland and flavorless the meat was.

Just…..have yall ever heard of seasoning your food or doing anything besides throwing it on the pan, burning it, and throwing it...

I love eating here! I go as often as I can afford and I always have one of their amazing salads with the house dressing (sooooo yummy) or the salmon filet dinner (they REALLY know how to cook salmon). The staff are always friendly and fun to talk to and joke with. There's always a pleasant happy atmosphere around the building as well. I adore the homey decorations, and extra items you can purchase from them at the counter. I have yet to have a single bad experience there regarding the food or the waitstaff. They go above and beyond to earn their tips and I often tip more than the base amount necessary because I understand how difficult, and wearing, a job like that can be.
