Union Station Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Medley

Lots of improvement since my last review 4 months ago. Faster delivery, the chicken is juice again and now someone is checking food before it is send out because everything we order gets deliver on time. They still have days when specials are not very attractive as I would like it and they repeat the soup sometimes but in general a GREAT place for lunch in the Medley area. Thank you for the effort!

4 month ago. This place used to be just great. A rare gem in Medley, especially with the lack of typical American food in the area. They changed ownership and since that they had change the menu to a more Middle East European one. It was not a bad change, something fresh and new, but with time they are lacking quality, don’t pay attention to details and don’t take the phone to received complains. Their delivery used to be faster but now it takes forever and the deliver guys is not has no shame reminding that the tip was not included (even when he shows up an hour and a half later) We decide to pickup our own food and I found myself checking everything (like when you go to McDonalds or any other fast food) because they make all kinds of mistakes, like change the soup you ordered, sending one burger instead of what you ordered, etc. Their chicken breast taste old and it is extra dry. This place used to be amazing; the food was flavorful & the service was fast (even during busy lunch time). For the last 3 or 4 months, the quality of the food has decreased exponentially. I have ordered different items, and they all were bad:

Panini sandwich: the bread was soggy. The chicken breast was flavorless, and dry. It was like eating cardboard.

Tex-Mex bowl: beans were flavorless (I wonder if they were from a can because they looked and tasted as if they were), and the chicken was exactly like I just described above.

Chipotle chicken wrap: this used to be one of my favorites items; I do not know what happened but it does not taste like it used to either.

Spinach and cranberry salad: carboard chicken, spinach that should've been thrown away... and excessive amounts of vinaigrette.

On another note, when I have placed online orders, and I have specified at what time I want my food, why is it that I have to wait 30, 40, 45 min for them to start prepping my food when I get to the restaurant? It does not make sense.

I have not been to the place personally, I have only ordered through Uber Eats, so I cannot comment on service or atmosphere but, honestly, by their food alone, I am sure it's great. I discovered them a few months ago when I was craving for a classic turkey club sandwich. I ordered that, fries and their lemoncello mascarpone cake. I have been obsessed over since! The sandwich, amazing, the cake??? The best I have tasted yet! Today, I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and chef's kiss, it's so good! And, of course, I ordered the cake again. It's definitely my go to for lunch when I am able to order. Prices are not that bad given the quality of the food.
