The coffee is very good. I started coming each morning for a large coffee and a muffin. Unfortunately, I learned today that they charge for butter, which I consider a condiment that should be offered with any baked good. Although the girl working the register was extremely polite, and did not charge me today, I doubt Iāll return just because this concept does not set well with me. I did a quick google search and the retail cost of a pad of their butter is .18 - Hardly an amount I would risk my business on. If this does not concern you, then itās a great spot!
I grew up on this coffee. Iām a Melbourne native, and this place was a staple in my family. I left the area in 2011 and never had a chance to return until 2023.
I was in the area visiting in 2023, and told my wife that we HAD to stop in and get coffee. I walked in and was sadly informed that they werenāt open for business; just for a staff meeting that was about to occur. When I explained to them that Iāve been craving their coffee for over a decade and couldnāt leave Melbourne without my fix, they graciously accommodated. I spent more money than my wife was comfortable with, and walked out with more coffee beans than I care to admit.
Even after over a decade, the quality of their coffee, the welcoming atmosphere, and the amazing customer service still stood strong. Indian River Coffee will always hold a special place in my heart. And Iām counting down the days until my next visit so I can get more coffee.
Thank you guys so much for your willingness to work with me on a day you shouldāve been closed. My heart was fuller than my coffee cup when I got back home and brewed that first pot. Yāall...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo we stopped by Indian River Coffee Co. This morning on the way to my daughter's doctor's appointment. She loves getting smoothies from there. I personally have been going since I was 14 years old. And I don't know what exactly has happen there but the atmosphere is not inviting anymore. The workers behind the counter are carrying on with how the argued with a customer over the price of her drink and saying how they told her well to bad. With who I believe was one of the owners. I am a firm believer in customer service if you are going to talk about a customer don't do it on the floor where people can hear you it's just down right disrespectful. I hate to say this but I highly doubt I will be returning back which is sad to say. Because this was a place me and my mother use to go before she passed and it use to remind me of her but now I'm sure she'd agree.
