I have been here many times with my boyfriend they treated us very nice and the food was delicious and hot. I'm thinking that they like men patrons more than women because the next time I went I was with a woman friend of mine who has Alzheimer's and hardly ever gets to go out. What a difference in attitude and what is difference in what food I received.
My friend had difficulty making up her mind and I guess she was taking too long for the server. My friend was asking her questions; which greatly annoyed the server, she ended up ordering chili fries. I ordered a bowl of grits and bacon. I was thinking of ordering French toast and so I asked her if she has maple syrup and I guess I annoyed her with that question too. I can't eat the processed sugar from the maple syrup you get from the store it makes me sick. I was not being difficult. I ordered the grits and bacon. I have had the grits here before and they were delicious and I didn't need to add salt nor butter.
When she came back the food wasn't hot; just barely warm. The grits were lumpy and thick, hard to stir. I tasted it anyway, I figured I'd eat it but they were bland, no taste at all. I kept looking out for the waitress and finally caught her eye and asked for butter. The butter would not melt and when I dug inside the grits they were cold like they were right out of the refrigerator.
I told the server, she took the grits away, no apology nor did she ask if there was anything else she could get me.
I tasted my friends food as well and they were cold not even warm. She was happy with them though, so I didn't say anything. I think her taste buds are not what they used to be.
The cashier asked me how is everything and I told her, not an apology, she said absolutely nothing after I said that! I don't know why she bothered asking if she didn't really care. Wow, what a disappointment! I will not go back there again and as many places I can I will be...

as this little restaurant was recommended by a young man who I ubered to his job this morning. So I thought I'll go check it out. Friendly greeting seat yourself kind of place. I ordered small orange juice a stuffed omelette and French toast. I explained how I wanted the omelette. Consisting of green peppers onions cheddar cheese sausage stuffed with hash brown topped with cheddar cheese and sausage gravy.
I certainly was not presented with what I had ordered. The gentleman that brought me my breakfast very sweet man he was willing to bring my omelette back and fix it however I was fine with just putting my omelette on top of the hash browns and scraped my gravy out of the bowl placing it on top. Plus I didn't feel it was fair that they lose money by making a new omelette because the server did not input the correct information. Hash browns were on the side of the Omelette gravy was in a bowl separate no cheese in my eggs. While I was very grateful for my breakfast A little odd that my breakfast came to me deconstructed.
French toast was off the chain. Absolutely the best part of my breakfast. It was moist full of flavor excited my mouth and even better was the fact that it came with REAL BUTTER!!. Go figure real butter and delicious syrup tasted almost like real Vermont syrup. My server whizzed by me twice saying "everything okay" as she whizzed by not taking any real time to see if everything was okay if I needed anything else (yet saw her texting ) so I figured just say fine and leave it at that. I was going to ask for to-go box However I decided against it and I finished my French toast it was so delicious. I would recommend this spot just not a...
Read moreAfter seeing our favorite breakfast place was busy, I quickly Googled and found this place. It was close by, and could have potential of being another fave place to eat near the house. Reviews seemed awesome!
Quite disappointed... sat for close to 10 min without a greeting, drinks, or menu. Portion was crazy huge, not complaining about that, but could save money by cutting back. Ordered country fried steak and eggs, toast, home fries, and a side of bacon.
That’s where things really just missed the mark. The eggs seemed scrambled in a microwave. The home fries were okay, no seasoning at all. Side of 3 very thin cut, and cold under cooked bacon is not worth the $2.50. Country fried steak... well let’s say it went right along with the other food. Toast with packets of strawberry jelly, PERFECT! Best thing on the plate.
Not writing this to be rude, or bash them, but our waitress was not personable, seemed like we were a bother to be there. The nicest person there was the young bus boy who seemed to have more enjoyment chatting with customers as he worked constantly cleaning.
Overall, not the greatest experience, and I usually give new places I try a couple of tries before deciding not to be back. Reviews can’t be this great, and could have just been a bad time to try it. Wasn’t busy, and just missed the mark several times.
I do wish any small business luck, and we try to support them as...
