I've been ordering from this same place for almost 4 years now. It had always been good, timely, and overall a good experience. But over time it has slowly been going down hill after the first couple years. A lot of the food started changing to what felt like cheaper items that didn't taste as good but for the same price, delivery times for worse and worse. It's been a little dissappointing to watch. I think the final straw for me was my order last night when I placed my order about an hour and a half ahead of time to be delivered (Which the delivery times were almost never followed properly, normally always late) and about 40 minutes before my selected delivery time I get a call saying my food was here. We're not allowed to take lunch early so the food would have sat there and gotten cold. I explained to the delivery driver he was too early and he said okay and that he would get in contact with the restaurant. So then my order time is rolling around and still no food. I called in and I was quickly told my food was not even out for delivery yet even though it was 3 minutes to my ordered time. The food ended up showing up almost half an hour late at which point when it was delivered most of the food was pretty much cold. There was never an I'm sorry nothing was done to try and make this right and I'm honestly getting tired of it. Almost every order I've placed in the past few months has been 15-20 minutes late therefore ruining our lunch break. Xin Da Chinese restaurant is located inside Sarno Plaza. It offers the promise of a positive dining experience. To cook fare of the highest possible quality, a cook must take great care when preparing each dish.

When I added Chinese restaurants to the lists of options for review, I never quite imagined the sheer morass of unpleasant, disagreeable, and horrendous food I would be diving into. Toward that end, when Xin Da emerged as candidate for appraisal, I pondered in silent thought, “uggh…here we go again.” A cursory surveyance of the interior of the eatery revealed an atmosphere which is typical of every other Chinese joint I’ve visited.

The first tangible difference of which I took notice is represented in Lim. He is the owner of the restaurant and is accompanied by his son. It’s noteworthy that both are of Chinese ethnicity and that both speak English fluently; so well in fact that my respect, my approbation very nearly gave way to zelotopia. Seriously though, he is a great guy.

My order consisted of Kung Pao Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and fried dumplings. The food exuded a full-flavored freshness to my taste buds and further presented as an attractive meal, far more pleasing to my eyes and my stomach than anything I have reviewed up to this point.

So we placed decently sized order two entrees two appetizers soup for two and some sesame balls. One of the entrees was pork with garlic sauce. What we received was majorly inedible. The entree was wrong they gave me pork with mushrooms which I can’t eat because they make me violently ill. When I called to get the order fixed they kept running back and forth to the manager and asked if they could just give me the correct sauce. I explained that wouldn’t work as I couldn’t eat the meal they’d given me. Then they asked if they could just replace it with a small version. I finally said ok because it was obvious they were just gonna cheap out and not replace the meal. The fried meat dumplings tasted like they had jerky in them. Super tough to chew and very dry. The soup broth was ok but the vegetables were absolute mush. It took almost 2 hours for my replacement to get delivered and it had mushrooms too even though I explained I cannot eat them so I still ended up with a meal I could not eat. Upon further inspection after taking the condiment packets out the the box my Boyfriend noticed they were extremely slimy.
