Sarno Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Melbourne

I ordered the chicken parm meal with garlic bread, chicken orzo soup, and a slice of pizza. Came back to my hotel room and had a little bit of the pizza, which was good and also some of the soup, which was also good... Then, I opened the chicken parm pasta. Wow! It looked like someone just threw on a tube of tomato paste. I had 2 bites and couldn't have anymore, as it was that bad. It wasn't like a marinara and/or liquidy. Awful. I called to let them know and to try and get a refund because I couldn't eat it. I asked for the manager and the lady that answered said she can help. I told her my issue and she went to the owner, to which his response was that this is the same recipe they've used for 20 some years, that they've never had a complaint, and that the sauce was fresh. I informed her that it has nothing to do with freshness but it was like tomato paste. She then went to the owner again and said she will put my name down and that to come in within the next week and they will make me something. She then said maybe it had to do with it sitting in the over too long and that's why it got all thick and dark. What?! It literally looked like red velvet, as it was that red. No! I want my money back! I am here on business and won't be around to pick up something else... Not like I would want to, anyway. If a customer complains, listen to them! Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture, as I was disgusted by how bad it was. I gave it to the front desk you workers, as they will typically eat anything. And I was so looking forward to some good chicken parm....

I am almost certain that this is the best cannoli I've ever had in my life It's certainly the freshest. I also got a hero with ham salami provolone lettuce tomato I added onion and I asked for a side of Italian dressing and it was darn good. Nothing fancy just well made, simple ingredients, good flavors and a good price. The person delivering it is absolutely lovely. Very friendly very nice has great recommendations to order for next time! Also incredibly quick delivery. The food is good, the price is great. The service is phenomenal. Also they package the to go orders or the delivery orders in a way where it arrives to you exactly like they put it together and packaged it when it left. The food doesn't slam around and become messy. Now this could be also because of the delivery person being extra careful but for example the cannoli they put some cannoli cream on the bottom and stuck the cannoli to it so that the cannoli didn't smash against the sides It was a very generous filling of cannoli cream so I don't think it would have gone anywhere but still it's nice for the cannoli to arrive and look beautiful. Ordered a stromboli and fries was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour (I live so close to the restaurant I can yell my order) so that was off putting but the price was right. So I set down to wait he showed up early which is nice (30 minutes) and that's where it went down hill my food was placed on a paper plate and shoved in a brown paper bag when he handed my food to me the bag fell apart and a steaming hot container of marinara crashes a parts on my bare left foot. While I'm getting the hot tomato sauce off of my skin the Damn delivery boy takes my 20$ bill on a 11$ order starts to walk off with my money and asks if I wanted my change? Yes I wanted my change back. So I go inside and let me tell you something if you every want to know if a restaurant prebakes their food instead of makes it fresh ask for an extra topping you will be able to see where they cut it open to stuff the extra topping you ordered in. It was rock hard on the bottom and everything inside tasted like despair and...
