Nothing can go wrong here. When we come in, the staff are always smiling and laughing, and when we order they are super helpful with menu selections! I've never encountered a lukewarm drink, nor a watered down iced drink like many coffee shops I've been to. And they have puzzles and board/card games! You'll never get bored!
I normally don't drink coffee, because I can never find a place that does it right (my parents have owned multiple coffee shops and I reap the benefits of knowing what real coffee is).
Their sandwiches are amazing as well! The panini is my favorite, and, though it is simple, it is delicious! It's never burnt and never undercooked or soggy!
George's is my go-to as a hangout for me and my friends. It's always so chill and peaceful, and I highly recommend it for studying! They even have a room you can reserve that is more secluded so you can have meetings without interuption.
Overall, George's is the best place in Melissa to get coffee, or another drink, and is a great place to just relax and get away from the chaos of life! I LOVE...
Read moreThis is a lovely local coffee shop with delicious paninis and lattes! If you're like me, you'll want to ask them to make your latte HALF as sweet as usual, though. I LOVE their pistachio latte with coconut milk (half as sweet). My 4-year-old gets a hot chocolate (also half as sweet). For reference, when we go to Starbucks, we also get our drinks half as sweet, so the sweetness level is probably similar.
We both liked their turkey panini, and my son also tried the grilled cheese panini, which he enjoyed. My sister swears by their coconut milk chai latte, but I haven't tried it yet because I'm obsessed with their pistachio latte!
The food/coffee isn't the only reason we have become return customers; the service and kindness of the barristas is so refreshing it's got me driving half an hour to go there for my latte.
Congrats to the owner for creating such a lovely environment and...
Read moreMan, is it hard to find GOOD coffee in North Texas!! Especially coming from a Coffeehouse/Roastery and training background.. geesh..
Well, finally there's a place worth stopping. Usually, when we go to a new place, we order a Vanilla latte or something that will tone down the already expected bitterness from improperly pulled shots LOL.. I know, sucks to expect it, but it came from many hard lessons, er lattes.
Anyway, this place was a pleasant surprise. The barista pointed out they were serving an Ethiopian/Colombian blend, both regions are delicious, so we went for it.
Wife ordered a hot latte - yeah, she's always cold. I ordered an iced latte.. and yes, I'm always warm :P They were delicious and not accompanied by the typical acid heart burn you get from unskilled baristas pulling over extracted shots. They actually know what they are doing here!
George, I don't know who you are.....
