First, let me start off by giving A&J's Catfish Station their flowers. I absolutely LOVE their food. However, the experience I had last night was not the greatest. I placed my order over the phone a little before 5pm. The gentleman over the phone was pleasant and fully understood my order. Everything was going well && once I entered the building, a young woman asked for the name on my order, since they had a line of about 10-15 people; some for pickup and others were placing orders. I was next in line and as I was approaching the front of the line, I was going to grab a to-go menu for future reference when I suddenly heard a loud & startling "PLEASE STOP THERE AND DONT COME FORWARD" (It wasn't those words verbatim, but something along those lines.) I was so startled that I paused & was almost frozen because of how rude it came off. Granted, I did not take it personal because I def understand not wanting the check-out area crowded and cluttered, but this is NOT the most effective way to relay this message to guests. I recommend placing a clear, visible and polite, customer-friendly sign, asking guests to wait to be called up to the counter next. I was in my phone majority of the time, so I admit that I wasn't paying much attention to anything around, so if there's already a sign then my apologies. Also, I would recommend getting a second register because I watched my food sit on the counter the entire 10-15minutes that I waited in line. I love my food fresh and hot so it would help combat having food be room temperature by the time it is received. Read moreMy experience at A & J was not good at all!! The main issue was the customer service and the length of time it took to GET MY FOOD!! OMG, IT WAS HORRIBLE!! So my cousin & l met up for lunch at 12noon on a Thursday, mind you it was NOT crowded. My cousin l ordered our food at the same time, his food was delivered to the table twenty MINUTES before my food arrived. You NEVER EVER bring 1 guests food while the other guests sits for 20 minutes!! It's not like l ordered an extraordinary meal. I ordered a cheese burger & onion rings. ( 7.99) onion rings mind you! So in total l paid 19.67 for burger & onion rings not a fancy restaurant mind you. Also when l asked the waitress (who happened to be the owners daughter btw), when my food was coming l got no apology, she didn't offer to check on my order, she served me a nice portion of attitude and an EYE ROLL!! SO ITS SAFE TO SAY I WILL NEVER EVER VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!! I can do pricey if the customer service is great but overpriced and BAD SERVICE, NOT EXCEPTABLE!! Read moreThe first time I went here I thought the food was great but after I became a regular customer I notice the food would not always be prepared the same every time. My first bad experience was the size of my fish fillet was extremely small and on my next visit I mentioned it to the young lady who took my order and she said that if anything is not satisfactory with your order that all you have to do is call in and report it and they will make it right "which they didn't. My second bad experience was the very next time when my macaroni was hard as a rock and un-eatable I mentioned this to the same young lady that takes orders and she said oh I'm so sorry without trying to make it right. My last and final bad experience was that same day I place a order with macaroni as a side order and when I drove 30 miles home to find out my macaroni was not included in my order. I find it petty that a successful place of business like this would not stand behind their service in a respectful way for their customers.
