Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Memphis

This location was a huge disappointment. Me and my friend visited this location on April 1, 2023, around 12 pm. This would have been my 1st meal of the day, so my taste buds and stomach were jumping. When I arrived, no one was in the drive-through. Got to the speaker to order only to be told "hold on" if you ever visited this location, you can see clear inside from the drive-through speaker. To my surprise, a lady hunched over the counter, texting on the phone. I waited a few seconds but immediately got out and headed to the inside. As soon as the lady saw me, she immediately yelled through the speaker, "The inside is closed. How can I help you?" I tried to order the new 3pc wing meal because in the past, the Churchs chicken in Memphis has never had regular wings. I was anxious to try them. My stomach was touching my back at this point. She quickly replied, "we don't have any wings, only thighs and legs," but continues to text on her phone the whole ordeal. I figured the wings had to be made to order, and maybe they didn't want to make them. I only saw the lazy lady and 1 guy in the kitchen behind her. I was more than happy to wait on some fresh food, but during this whole situation, no one ever pulled up behind us, so we were still the only people there. I took a friend here for food & he wanted to go through the drive thru. I don't like going here because the front counter people are usually unprofessional and it's not clean. The lady wasn't friendly, she announced, correct cash or credit card only before speaking to us or before he ordered. That alone made me not want any food. He ordered the special for 8.99 and a large mash, she replied 18.99 pull around. We both looked at each other, like how is it 18.99??!! We get to the window and had to wait 5minutes before the lady came to the window. I was approached for money in the drive thru before she came to the window. Employees were playing around while cars were lining up at the drive thru speaker, I sat there 26 minutes before an employee motioned to me to pull around. When I got around, I had to wait another 5 minutes before someone came to the window to tell me to hold on they had to complete shift change. I sat another 3 minutes when an employee (identified as the manager) asked me my order. When I finally got it home it was the last shifts burnt chicken with the texture of beef jerky toughness. I was so angry waiting that long, deal with my culture, receiving old burnt chicken, that I decided to cut my losses, toss the chicken and not.go back to the store to get a charge.
