La Carnita Asada — Restaurant in Memphis

Terrible service and terrible attitude. We were traveling from out of town and arrived close to closing time. We were cognizant of this fact, so we asked if it would be ok and be given ample time to sit down and eat. We would have been understanding if they had told us no or only allowed us to have take out. We were told it would be ok to sit down to order and eat. We confirmed, because of how close to closing time it was, if it would be ok to sit down to eat and they again confirmed. We ordered and once the food came out, we were given 5 minutes to eat and the waitress began to take our plates. One person's plate was taken without authorization when it was only half eaten and not finished. We had to pull back another plate that was still full, and were told that they were closed and we needed to go. We were aghast at the information as we had confirmed several times if it would be ok and they had confirmed. The food was ok. There was nothing "Chapin" about it, it was all Mexican Food. So not only was the food ok, the customer service was abysmal, but the advertising...

Worst chilaquiles ever. Literally used the same nacho chips that they serve you with the salsa for the dish and didn’t let it simmer like it has to with the salsa. Also that’s all they did, throw hit sauce in the nachos and serve them. It was very unpleasant to eat. The server didn’t even come back to ask for refills which at this point I think they probably charged for refills but she never came back to check on us. The lady at the cashier was very rude when I asked her for the receipt only to find out she had charged me 2 dollars extra which I confirmed after getting my receipt and as she gave me back the money she demanded I leave a tip for the server who didn’t even do a good job. Had steak street tacos, they were the best ive ever had. This would be a 5 star rating, but the cook wanted to be rude about the salsa. They brought the yellow salsa with tacos, the hottest they carry. When i asked for something else, they brought me some, but the cook wanted to poke fun about "Americanos, Caliente, Salsa", he clearly didnt like me asking for something less spicy.
