I'm always looking for caldo de pollo, or caldo de res, with potatoes, celery, and carrot, (not with zucchini, broccoli and other weird stuff) They didn't have it on the menu, so I was kinda bummed. It's hard to caldo de pollo/res in restaurants now anyway. Not sure why. The fried jalapenos are not filled with cheese, they are strips of jalapeno, breaded and fried. Not saying they're not good, just saying they don't have cream cheese inside, so might not be what you expect. The breading looked good and they looked like they were cooked properly. The service was pretty good too and our waiter with bushy mustache was great. We walked away thinking the food was delicious and exceeded expectations. I ordered the Carne Guisada plate which was spicy with great flavor. We also ordered the Mia’s special and it was great too. They offered kids meals which the kids really enjoyed. I have heard from several other locals the exact same thing. Me and my wife ordered from Los Abuelos a couple of months ago and the order was wrong.
