Barnacles Sports Bar — Restaurant in Mentone

As others said before, the owner(s) don’t seem to care. About a third of the regulars act self-entitled, and are snobbish clickish people... Some love to butt in other peoples business. It’s ok to maybe come in like once a year. Then stay for like 10 minutes and don’t spend more than $10. All but just a couple bartenders can be rude to their guests. But not the A listers. Better places around- just go to downtown Redlands. I tried to be nice and brought things in on many occasions to put out for the whole bar. Like Cheetos, pretzels, nuts, etc. Last time, I went to the expense of buying 5 nice large ribeye steaks. I only expected to eat one, and the owner was glad to hear it was for both of the owners and one or two of the bartenders, but when I talked about cooking just one of the 5 for me, the owner got all huffy with me. She acted like she was too stressed to have customers, so I left and went to another bar. She overheard about it because one of her bartenders was there at the other bar, (maybe because she can't stand Barnacles), and lied about me and what was actually said, and who knows what else. Her own bartender had the nerve to tell me not to come in there again. Boy that's really great for business! Next time at Barnacles, I was told I was 86’d, and the owner told me that she threw out all 5 of my steaks. Yeah- I’ll bet! Now I know why several others don’t go there anymore. The owner is just getting too burned out always rushing around. And don’t forget, she had to put up a few Halloween decorations instead of being nice...

Visited this establishment recently with a friend in the area. Great place to hang out and catch up! Very spacious with an abundance of seating inside. Outside seating options available as well. Loved the outdoor theme decor! Very comfortable and provides primacy from the street and parking lot. Appears to be a great low key place to watch a game with friends. Casual environment. I'll definitely like to visit again.

The only things I'd wish were better was 1) upon arrival I had no idea where to enter. I first went to the right of the building as I walked up. Then saw what appeared to be doors to the patio area which turned out to be locked. Finally went to the left where it almost looks like a staff entrance or delivery door. A sign or something would be great. 2) the staff although not even slightly busy seemed less than enthused to help anyone they didnt know. Even the ones they did it's almost as if they'd rather be...

I finally decided to stop by my local bar Barnacles. I passed by it everyday on my way home from work. I had lunch and a few beers. Decided on the mushroom burger and French fries. I love mushroom burgers and always order it if its on the menu. The bartender served the burger saying "You're going to love my burger" she was not wrong. I love ranch with almost everything but I took one bite and didn't think twice about the ranch. The burger had mor flavor then most mushroom burgers I had and the fries were so crispy but fluffy. 3 beers and a burger for 22 bucks, you can't beat that.
