Gionino's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Mentor

If you are looking for a great place to enjoy some delicious pizza, you might want to check out Gionino's Pizzeria in Mentor, Ohio. I had the chance to visit this restaurant recently and I was very impressed by their food, their cleanliness, and their friendly and well-mannered staff.

The first thing that caught my eye was the variety of pizzas they offer. They have everything from classic cheese and pepperoni to specialty pizzas like chicken bacon ranch and buffalo chicken. You can also create your own pizza with your choice of toppings. The crust is thin and crispy, the cheese is gooey and stretchy, and the sauce is flavorful and fresh. The pizzas are baked in a brick oven, which gives them a nice smoky taste.

The second thing that I noticed was how clean the restaurant was. The tables were wiped down, the floors were swept, and the kitchen looked spotless. I felt very comfortable eating there, knowing that they follow high standards of hygiene and sanitation. The restaurant also has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with warm lighting and music.

The third thing that I appreciated was how friendly and well-mannered the staff were. They greeted me with a smile, took my order promptly, and brought my food quickly. They also checked on me several times to make sure I was satisfied and had everything I needed. They were polite, courteous, and professional.

I personally am disgusted with the customer service I received by the claim store owner Jake on 4/16/2019. I personally had ordered delivery for both large work orders and personal orders to the same address everytime. Today I was declined because "every other time I ordered the employee made a mistake". It was upsetting to know a store owner would continously suggest that all his employees did not know what they were doing. Jake absolutely refused to accommodate any type of delievery, did not provide any type of apology for the current situation or for past deliveries. Jake advised I was not able to submit any type of complaint to anyone because he was the full owner of the individual store (#2090000) & that I was unable to file a complaint through Gioninos directly, this advisement or lack there or advisement was provided in a very ignorant way with an attitude that left me feeling like I was beneath him & his store. If mistakes were made I would understand if handled properly. As a store business owner the fact my concerns were not taken seriously & my questions were not able to be answered by the store owner Jake, had led me to provide a report to the BBB and provide this review for others to be knowledgeable on the most important part of the food industry which is...

We have loved this location for years but we won’t ever order from again. This last year, Gioninos has really gone down the drain. Pizzas are either undercooked or the topping aren’t correct. The past 3 times we have ordered a salad, the lettuce is rotten (not wilted, actual rotten lettuce). Our anti-pasta salad had one minuscule piece of ham on it, one. We did a pick up order and the young lady who works the drive up window is clearly stoned because 1) we can smell it and 2) she is so forgetful. Glad I checked for salad dressing because we didn’t get any! When calling to discuss this, which we have done the last few times, we are ALWAYS hung up on. Then when we call back it rings and rings. At first I thought the kids working there were overwhelmed and I was compassionate but now it’s clear there is no pride in their work and the owners (if they even exist) don’t ever surface.
