Hopefully the Management at Zaffiro's will read this review and take note as to how the restaurant is run. I like Zaffiro's. Before Covid, I would go to Zaffiro's for $5 movie night. Have a pizza before the show and then take our cocktails into the theater. It WAS great. After Covid, Zaffiro's has gone downhill as far as service. Sadly, I know every business is lacking the good service they once had. Hard to find not only employees at all, but good ones that actually want to work. I had been to Zaffiro's a few times in the past 2 years. Food was always okay but the service was always very slow. The service I received in my party of 6 a few weeks ago however was laughable. We had a server that had only worked there a short time. He never came around for us to order drinks so we went to the bar ourselves. Are order was 2 pizza's, mac & cheese & wrap. The Mac & Cheese and wrap came first. We didn't want to begin eating until everyone received their order. After waiting about 20 minutes, we nibbled at our food hoping the pizza would arrive shortly. Finally a person in our party went up to the bar and expressed his disappointment that neither pizza had arrived yet. After another 20 minutes (and some of us had already finished our meal) the pizza arrived. We were told the 2nd pizza would be right up. Mind you, this entire time our server never came around to see if we wanted any more drinks or needed anything. Also, the restaurant was hardly 1/2 full so it's not like it was a busy evening for them. The table next to us with 2 young (& hungry) children received their pizza after over an hour. They said their 1st pizza to arrive was burnt, the 2nd one got dropped and they were waiting for their 3rd. So now our 1st pizza was gobbled down and we were (at this point) IMpatiently waiting for our 2nd pizza. After another complaint to the bar, the Manager finally came over to apologize. She said there were problems in the kitchen (lack of staffing I'm assuming?) She gave us some free movie tickets (how about a free meal??!!) Finally after almost TWO HOURS our 2nd pizza arrived. Now as I've said, the food is good there. However the service is totally unacceptable. Luckily for us we didn't have plans to see a movie that evening, otherwise no doubt we would have missed the entire movie by the time our meal finally arrived. So Management, PLEASE try to figure out how to get your service people all on the same page. If you're lacking staff, perhaps you should just close the food aspect for the time being and just have the bar open. By the way, only one bartender was working that evening and it appeared she was too busy talking to her friends sitting at the bar than serving other customers. I don't know that I'll be back at Zaffiro's any time soon. I've heard from other friends that they too have received very slow...
Read moreAfter seeing a movie we decided to give this place a try. Having to wait 20 minutes for a table in a mostly empty dining room should have been a little concerning. After some time we were able to grab a seat at the bar. Not once did the bartender come over to us, pick up the glasses left by last people or even make eye contact. Pager went off and we were seated. Another long wait was in store. Several waitstaff walked past our table in a mostly empty dining area and not one person made any eye contact or spoke to us. 15 minutes later someone finally came to our table. She was pleasant, made no apologies about the wait and took our drink and appetizer order. Having seen the bartender disappear for a very extended time period we knew it would be a while before our drinks arrived. Wine arrived 10 minutes later nearly same time as the zucchini fries, not overly odd except for the fact that there wasn't that many customers in there dining. Our pizza arrived and sadly it was a little disappointing. Crust pieces were pretty good but the pieces farther in were on top of very soggy crust. Had the place been packed with customers I may have expected long wait times, possible issues with food but being there were very few in there dining this all seemed a little off putting. Being that there are much better pizza places in the area with much better customer service we...
Read moreOur waiter was very slow in service despite the place being empty when we seated there. The actual meal (pizza) we had was pretty good in taste, but there were other issues. About 30 seconds after the waiter lays the pizza on the table... It tips over and falls on the ground. 3/4 of the pizza was un-edible at that point and we had to salvage the slices that we could get. My friend and I didn't even touch the pizza, rather it was the waiter who laid it uneven on the surface. Instead of potentially getting a new pizza because it was not on us, we just get laughed at by two different staff members. Instead of helping us clean up, it just becomes a joking matter to the staff. They finally realize after 10 minutes or so that they should probably help us tidy up. We awkwardly eat the rest of our meal. After we're eventually finished, it takes a unusual long time for the staff to realize we are done, despite being practically the only people eating at the time. We wait around 15 minutes just to receive a check, in which one of the staff members has the audacity to personally come up and ask me for a generous tip. What a joke!! 30 dollars for about 6 very small pizza slices, 2 cokes, and a forced tip. I...
