This is the only Carl's Jr which has incredibly failed us. We will never return to this location
We ordered from the drive thru a beyond burger and big carl. Sides we only ordered onion rings. We ordered a Large water with light ice and a chocolate chip cookie milkshake.
They gave us our water, made us wait a minute to give me my card back then we received our food and was told that was it.
With conversation between my wife and I, we didn't notice they had not given us our milkshake until we were out of the driveway.
I had to park and go inside. When I walked up to the counter, the staff had me wait as if I was there to make an order. Minutes later I was approached by their shift lead. I notified her they had forgotten our milkshake to which she did not seem to care much for. Instead she asked me if no whip cream was okay because they were out. It was fine for us because we wanted it that way anyway but forgot to ask for it. There I was thinking they were going to make it because apparently we all had forgotten.. WRONG... She walks over and pulls it out of a freezer already made...
During this time I received no apology or any sign of an apology in any way. Instead, she just handed it to me.
I decided to give it the benefit of a doubt and took it.
As I walked to the car I noticed how melted the milkshake was.. and it wasn't appetizing. Still, I gave it the benefit of a doubt. I got back in the car where my wife and I tried it. The answer we both had was a simple, no.
I headed back inside and spoke to the shift lead and told her I'd like a refund. She aknowledged my request and began processing the refund. She didn't ask what was wrong with it, she didn't offer to remake it, she didn't offer an apology or any of those things. She just processed the refund.
To make matters worse. The large water we ordered, light ice right? Wrong. Had 3/4s of ice in the cup. Burgers were good? Not quite, they were pretty dry. Kitchen went light on the sauces to the point we had to compensate with what we had at home.
The only thing that came through the finish line without an issue were the onion rings. Those were fresh, but everything else was a failure. Worst $20.00 I have spent this year.
Safe to say, we will just take our business to the other Carl's Jr even though it is across...
Read moreA while back when I was asked what my favorite fast food restaurant was it was always Carl’s Jr. They’ve always had the best burger in town. But their prices have just gotten too high.
This morning, I thought I would venture back in to try the breakfast special, two breakfast sandwiches for three bucks. However, I needed to use the restroom rather urgently when I came in the door. However, no one was at the counter. When someone finally did come, the manager, I was told I needed to order something first. I told her it was urgent! She just turned around and said she was sorry. I waited. The urgency subsided a bit but was still present and could rage back at any moment.
When the manager did come back, I had my phone out, my app opened up, but was having trouble finding the special that I wanted. I asked her if I could please just use the restroom and then I would definitely order from there! She just said that she didn’t have time to clean it if it was dirty and that I would have better luck going next-door to McDonald’s! At that point, I didn’t want to eat there anymore anyways as I had lost my appetite. The idea that the manager who is serving my food and working in the kitchen would also be the custodian cleaning up a potentially messy bathroom actually made me nauseous. I don’t think that’s even legal. Anyway, it’s very bad policy.
I did make it to McDonald’s, fortunately. I was greeted with friendliness and compassion, and the bathroom door was opened immediately! I understand there’s a homeless situation here in Merced but does a Business really think that locking people out of the bathroom AND refusing to let them use it is the solution?

I routinely assist those experiencing homelessness with food, rides to places, a cigarette or just someone to talk to to make their day a bit brighter. The number 6, just the sandwich, lettuce wrap, add onions and bacon. Sometimes i get fries. I ordered food from here, they charged my card, then proceeded to tell me that it didnt go through on their end. And then blamed it on the weather. Saying that this always happens when it rai s or something. It went through on my end. They charged me. Didnt give me my food nor did they give me my money back. Will never come back here again.
