Deli Delicious #34 - West Olive — Restaurant in Merced

I live about an hour away from this location and will always stop her whenever I’m in town. I ordered a large sandwich half to eat now, half to eat later (asked for all toppings on the side so my sandwich didn’t go soggy). I love pickles a lot, so I asked for some extra on the side for the sandwich I was going to eat now. The girl taking the order seemed nice enough to supply me with them. However, the woman making the sandwiches had an issue with that. Her tone quite patronising telling me “I put three extra pickles for you” - which There was not. I offered to pay for extra pickles as I just wanted some pickles!!! She refused and I walked out the store. It’s not the first time she’s spoke to me in a condescending tone and I’m not here for it.

I walked in and was ignored as the employees stood around eating french fries. Annoyed by unprofessional over priced service I sat and observed this redhead who was picking at her face while wearing plastic gloves. She then jumped off the line and went to the restroom. A few minutes later the door swung open as you hear the toilet flushing and she's STILL wearing the SAME GLOVES! Then jumped on the line and proceeded to stuff meat into a customers sandwich. Sign gave a price for a meal. When I got my receipt I asked why I was charged separately for my onion rings, drink & sandwich & the young lady tells me that onion rings aren't part of the meal deal but didn't tell me cause I didn't ask. So sitting down with my kids I watch as the same girl takes food to a family that came in about 5 minutes after mine. I tell my wife that something is wrong & then see the girl sprint over & talk to that family & grab the sandwich's & bring um to our table.
