Mi Casa Restraurant — Restaurant in Mercedes

Been coming here for years and it’s legit my favorite restaurant anywhere (lived in San Antonio, central Il, and DC). My husband is from the Valley and loves it too. We haven’t dined inside a restaurant since the start of COVID, but when we dined in before that, this place was amazing. They offered a free mini concha (sweet bread) with morning meals, and they have flour tortilla chips in the morning with a delicious salsa that is almost like a soup—served warm and so good. I always get the ground beef tacos, which are lightly fried and mouth-watering. We’ve even thought of trying to replicate some of the best aspects of this restaurant somewhere up north—it’s so good and we miss it now that...

Very decent place and service was pretty nice and the location was bit hard for me to find at first since traffic was on the keep moving pace the only difficult to do is get out if parked on side where right behind is main street of cars are passing through and having to reverse out but food itself was decent just pancakes were a bit too dry and beans were salty for me other than that it would be best to try to see different items and see what you prefer but it would a every so often...

So their Breakfast Tacos were tasty. My only disappointment if any was they only had two Salsa choices. Either your mouth is on fire or this other Salsa which seemed more water than Salsa. The red stuff pictured is SERIOUSLY fiery! I think it's the hottest Salsa I've had in the whole Valley. The waitress gave all the patrons a slice of cake at no charge which was especially nice.
