After supporting this establishment since a little kid, I am in disbelief with their customer service. Ordering ahead on a Sunday has never been an issue before and being told it would be ready in 15-20 mins seemed like no problem.
I waited inside for 15 minutes but that’s not my issue. My issue is the fact that these waitresses who are well-mature enough to know how to be polite did not acknowledge me once in the 10 mins I was sitting. Then finally someone said “I will be with you shortly” to just go and take somebody else’s order who came in 5 minutes after I did and then walk right by me several more times with no acknowledgement. Another “waitress” wanted to look directly at me, cash out another customer, then walk away. I don’t know who trained these women but as someone who has been serving since they were 15 I think it’s safe to say their customer service lacks in many areas. I’m not sure if they had a bad impression of me because I was one of the youngest customers in there but regardless if they wanted a tip that bad they could’ve just asked instead of serving every other person in that joint besides me. I’m not sure if I will ever come here again but If i do happen to give them another chance they sure will be...
Read moreThis place brings back all the nostalgia for me. I used to go here as a kid with my family every week, it was a wonderful weekend treat and great quality time together. So of course when my brother suggested breakfast here when we were on route to our next destination I was happy to stop. I got the sausage omelet that I always got growing up and it was exactly how I remembered it, made with love and memories. My brother branched out of his childhood comfort zone of drinking hot chocolate with a spoon and eating nothing to a western omelet. My son got a pancake as big as he was and my husband got the french toast. Everything was delicious. Fresh. Diner food. Comfort food. Service was great, friendly and kind. I think we'll have to make our way into town to come...
Read moreMy husband and I go to Tom's Place every Sunday for breakfast. It is the definition of neighborhood hole in the wall where everybody is friendly. The normal Sunday crew are fantastic: Deb is so kind and handles the customers with such care. Cheryl is amazing on the grill, her food is always cooked to perfection. Aprill and Tom are the type of owners who are hands-on and involved without micromanaging. They step in where needed, but trust their staff to do their jobs. The atmosphere at Tom's is also very welcoming. The regular customers all know each other, but other customers are also welcomed and respected. There is never an awkward or uncomfortable feeling of being an intruder. When we first started going, we never once felt like we...
