My wife and I frequent both Meridian locations. This one seems to always have food quality issues. My wife ordered a Caesar salad today and it was so disgusting she couldn't eat it. The salad was small and drenched in dressing. I always get a sandwich and chips, usually sweet and smoky chicken. They always dollop one little pile of meat in one spot and barely put any of the sauce on it (which is weird because they usually drench everything.) This is true of both locations. They do not understand putting ice in a cup either, when they pour hot tea in it you have no ice left! I just want to make my own drink!!!! You ask for extra ice they pay you no attention. The entire restaurant was filthy all the tables (literally) were dirty and only 4 or 5 tables eating at the time so it wasn't busy. There was no wait on our food, it came out fast, they just didn't prepare it well and it's an ongoing issue. My wife wanted to complain but instead we left and went to eat again at KFC. SADLY it was better! They do not want to put meat on sandwiches either. You pay approx $13-$15 per person for a sandwich and drink and they're too cheap to give you any food. The "choose 2" is also a rip off its more than a single sandwich and you don't get a side. Doesnt matter anyway because they wont put meat on anything. My bread is usually 3x bigger than the amount of meat they put on it. They microwave everything to the point its rubbery and hard to chew. I'm done with this place. I spend hundreds of dollars a month here and they get worse every visit.... I can make a sandwich much better and much...
Read moreMy Mom and I (89 and 70) stopped by on December 18 at the McAlister's on 27th Place in Meridian, MS, for our favorite sandwich when we go out of town and I wonder what happened to McAlister's. We always get a whole Reuben and a bowl (not the cup) of Tortilla Soup and it is so much we have leftovers for the next day. The sandwiches we got yesterday didn't have 3 ozs of corned beef, and it might have only been 2 ozs. I don't normally check the orders from your Delis, and I have been to several of them in TX, LA, and MS. but I wish I had because I didn't discover this until we got home, 60 miles away. They didn't even put the pickle in and I am so disgusted I'll never go to another one again. What's happening? Are employees putting the corned beef I paid for (it was a $32 order) into their own stomachs? I want my money back. And I use Google Reviews and Social Media, and I promise you I will review this on Yelp and every other site I can find. If you need to reduce portions by this much you need to make your customers aware of it before they purchase food at...
Read moreThe food is good but the staff needs better training. I order from this location frequently. My order is never ready on time (as in, not ready in the window of time they give me when I place the order). They frequently forget "extra" items ordered to go (via phone, app, or online) as in I have ordered several different times cookies, brownies, etc and when I get back to my workplace with the order, these items aren't present. When I stand at the pick up counter, it's often several minutes before a member of staff comes to ask what I need - even though several staff member will walk by multiple times. I understand that not everyone can help with to go orders but a simple "someone will be with you in a moment" would go a long way. It seems like the staff doesn't do a good job of communicating amongst themselves. Also, the counter staff is rarely friendly. I understand that it's lunch time and I'm probably the 100th customer that day, but a simple smile covers a multitude of...
