The Halal Spot — Restaurant in Merrimack

Last night I was bored and ended up writing a bunch of reviews, and someone suggested I check out this new place in Merrimack called The Spot. At first, I thought it was just another restaurant, but then I found out it’s actually the same as USA Chicken and Biscuit, just with a new name. Later I learned the owner is the same too, and I even looked at their Instagram — it’s pretty fun. My first impression was good. The tables were clean, everything looked neat, and they had Arabic music playing in the background, which gave the place a nice vibe. The cashier lady was really sweet and polite, and she kept smiling while taking my order, which made me feel welcome. There was also a guy on his phone near the front who kept talking, but it didn’t really bother me much. For food, I got the rice bowl, my husband tried the naam bowl, and for the kids I ordered the 4-piece chicken tenders with loaded fries. The tenders were okay, but my daughter loved the loaded fries she basically finished them herself. Both me and my husband enjoyed the bowls a lot. The curry sauce had great flavor, the garlic sauce was so good, and the flaming hot sauce was no joke definitely as hot as the name says. I only kept it on the side because it was way too strong for me. Overall, I liked it. The food was tasty, the sauces stood out, the place felt clean, and the cashier lady being so sweet and polite just made the visit nicer. I’d go back...

I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Burger, and it was phenomenal from the very first bite. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender and juicy inside, with just the right amount of heat. The Nashville-style seasoning had a bold, smoky flavor that didn’t overpower the taste of the chicken. The spice level was very mild though, but you keep wanting more.

The bun was soft and lightly toasted, holding up well without getting soggy. The pickles and sauce added the perfect tangy balance to the spicy chicken.

Chicken tenders were juicy. Try it with some manga habanero sauce. The portion size were generous. it’s great to see a spot offering high-quality halal options without compromising on taste or authenticity.

The Halal Spot in Merrimack is honestly such a gem. The food is fresh, flavorful, and they really do have a little bit of everything, which makes it easy for everyone to find something they love. My kids can never get enough of it, and that alone makes it one of our family favorites. For me, the naan bowl is the absolute star — hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life on this planet. The staff are so kind and the service is always smooth, which makes the whole experience even better.
