I thought it was a very nice and clean place. The inside was a bit tiny (2-3 tables and a bar/bench/stool thing near the tv for singles).
The people were very nice. Two things I overheard that were great. First, they have a kid's menu. That is super rare for a Chinese place and I appreciate that as someone who can never get Chinese due to kiddos.
Second, they called a guy to tell him his order was ready and they didn't want it to become cold. I never call ahead, but I think that is great customer service, because I hate cold Chinese.
The price was average compared to other Chinese places. What I didn't like was the drink options. Like all Chinese places, all they have is canned soda and bottled water, not a soda machine. I don't mind paying $2 for a soda because I will typically have four refills. I know I SHOULD have water, but I like a soda in the middle of the day and one to take home with me.
I had the Sesame Chicken. I have had better. The chicken wasn't fatty or too heavy on the breading, but the sauce was "off". I can't put my finger on it, but I have had better. I also had an egg roll and that was good.
All in all, I would try it again, just not the Sesame chicken. I find it is hard to find a good Chinese place...
Read moreKids and I had dinner here before reading any review. That was a good thing because quite a few reviews from 9 mo to a year ago were not stellar. We dropped in since we had worked all day cleaning and the last thing I want to do is to cook, so Chinese food it is tonight. My son had a large wonton soup and an order of fried dumplings. My daughter and I shared a roasted pork fried rice and a broccoli beef. We were given 1 container of white rice. We ordered at the counter then sat down to wait. It took only for about 10 minutes for the food to come out. We opted to eat there, because we were so hungry. The food was pretty good, just a little salty. So I suggest you remind the cashier for "less or no salt, only soy sauce" when salt is needed. We ended up had a little food left when we were done, so my kids probably will have a late night snack later. Our first try has been great. I will definitely do this again and see if they are consistent. We really need a simple and good Chinese restaurant around here and I really hope Asian...
Read moreThe Food is excellent most of the time. Watch out when ordering a personal plate they charge you an extra $3.50 for anything other than white rice with your plate. Website says served with "fried rice choice" + eggroll or soup making it seem like it is included in the 8.99 price. The website really needs an update I couldn't even find a proper menu online for this location.
Two personal plates with pork fried rice and eggrolls and added another two extra egg rolls was $30 a little much in my opinion for the amount of food you receive.
Plate 8.99 + 3.50 x 2 + Eggroll 1.59 x 2 = $28.16 + Tax 8.3% Total: $30.49
Even with the high price this place is fantastic I am originally from Boston, MA and this is the closest I've found in comparison to what you would get on the East coast but half the portion size.
On a side note peas and carrots don't belong in fried rice...... Pork, Onion, Bean sprouts...
